A German court on Tuesday convicted a 97-year-old woman of being an accessory to more than 10,000 murders for her role as a secretary to the SS commander of the Nazis' Stutthof concentration camp during World War II.

Irmgard Furchner was accused of being part of the apparatus that helped the camp near Danzig, now the Polish city of Gdansk, function. The Itzehoe state court in northern Germany gave her a two-year suspended sentence for being an accessory to murder in 10,505 cases and an accessory to attempted murder in five cases.

The court said judges were convinced that Furchner “knew and, through her work as a stenographer in the commandant’s office of the Stutthof concentration camp from June 1, 1943, to April 1, 1945, deliberately supported the fact that 10,505 prisoners were cruelly killed by gassings, by hostile conditions in the camp,” by transportation to the Auschwitz death camp and by being sent on death marches at the end of the war.

    1. Fact.
Who chased down this result for like 70 years?
Some rich influential people that wouldnt let it go.

Only the rich get what they want… everyone else can cry racisim.

    1. Palestine had its chance. They were just greedy. You could have had your state 80 years ago. You just wanted to deny Jews theirs.

    1. Zelenski decided although he was unemployed to build his Family Home financed by Panhandling. When donations stop coming, the selfishness of others he blames for being close to Homelessness so close to Winter.

    1. @Free Thinker 90% of the population of Israel/Palestine was Arab in 1930 before the European chosen ones invaded

    2. @Make America Native Again Would those be the descendants of the people who murdered the Christians and Jews in the 700s to take that land? They got what they deserved. I take my original comment back. God bless Isreal and the Jews, whos land it is. Palestinians got what they had coming.

    3. @Free Thinker the chosen ones deserve what they got in 1940’s Germany. The chosen ones are no better

  1. Well..its not like she murdered them with her hands… And on the top of that it was a war … Also i don’t believe that justice is served because she has already lived most of her life. So, it doesn’t even matter if they imprisoned her.

  2. She’s still dangerous. In a not dangerous kind’ve way – but what can you do? No punishment at all? Just pay a fine?

    1. she got the opportunity to raise a family and grandchildren with this kind of mentality… this does nothing to repair the loss

    2. Pay a fine. Shed probably be very miserable and in her own prison for the ending of her life.
Then her family continues to pay the fine after she dies.

  3. Amazing! She’s 97 & been free as a bird 🐦, yet was in deep in the plot gassing to death. I’ve no pity for her.

  4. Despite the economic downturn, I’m happy ☺️. I have been earning $60,200 returns from my $10,000 investment every 13 days
