@tan j maz maz no, unfortunately the police was not defunded. Defunding the police does not mean getting rid of them, btw. It just means spending less on them, which would be great. US cops are overly militarised and underwhelmingly trained. US cops have the shortest and worst training of all police forces in the Western world. The cops are trained to act as if they are in a war zone and are equipped like that. That is the problem.

The biggest problem is. I lived in America for a decade. But one thing that I found out, was that people doesn’t have time to listen or talk to someone that’s different or have problems. Please pay attention to people before something happens. Because it’s always easy to say, look at that fool or crazy person. You think that that would help or do more harm. Sometimes it can take a few kind words and understanding from someone else, to get a person to change their mind. A little kindness and understanding that we are all different. It doesn’t mean, that because you are beautiful or muscular or the football star or the queen in at your school, that doesn’t make you better than anyone else. You were only more fortunate than someone else. But your worth is the same as the next person. We all have something that we all are good at. So don’t judge, but try to understand and make peace towards everyone. Because a person that is outside, is going to become more isolated and dangerous than before. Because the person sees it, as no one cares or understands the person. Please, we all live in this beautiful Planet together as one. Please act like it. And stop thinking that you are better than someone else, because you have a different background, or a different color or from a different part of the World. We are all here together.

Completely desensitized to mass shootings now as an average American Citizen. That’s profoundly scary and depressing. Nothing changes when nothing changes.
I was in class just a couple blocks down from this at JCTC College. We got an alert the stopped the class for a moment. It was only around and hour later that we learned exactly what it was. This sucks.

Living in a small rural town is definitely the way to go now. I used to resent the fact that I live in a small town in the Appalachian mountains but now I think it’s the safest place to be. Low expenses, cheap housing prices, and violent crime like this rarely happens if at all. The negatives that come with urban lifestyle has definitely changed my perspective.
Yeah but the issue with that is you will eventually be pulled over & harassed by cops Because like you said there’s no crime so they’re gonna have to figure a way to get money out of you.
@cfjen I’ve only ever been stopped by the police one time in my whole life, my brake light was out and he gave me a warning. They do give a ton of speeding tickets out, though.
