  1. RIP Cst. Heidi Stephenson and the other 10+ victims. My thoughts to the injured and all the families involved in this tragedy.

    1. Tragedy indeed and whoever was behind this. Would not be surprised if the quebeck gang starts up with gun control. a.k.a. Denis Lortee. quebeck does real evil things including the contrived FLQ crisis. quebeck is from the pit of hell.

    2. You have to give it to him. He planned a devilish scheme and made the rcmp look like idiots. 12 hrs. to figure out wtf was going on? Shame on the rcmp. It’s time for them to disband.

    1. @Jordan Miller what a mature and well thought out comment. You’re an insecure, insensitive collection of garbage.

    2. Micheal Rows
Don’t worry, he’s just an edgy 15 year old who doesn’t realize that type of humour died in seven years ago

    3. Why are you guys making such a big deal of him mimicking gun noises. If he’s young so be it, everyone is like this when they’re young.

    4. @Dr3xdful Dr3xms. Young or not… this kind of uncalled mockery is totally unacceptable given the context at hand – 16 lives have been taken away by a crazed gunman. It is no laughing matter. This is not a video game.

  2. I firmly believe we are going to start to see a decline in mental health. It’s going to be scary.

    1. 225degrees
Because they are not journalists they are government contractors. Journalists don’t get paid by the government, government contractors get paid by the government

    2. 225degrees I agree… did I really hear a question that started with “You said 10 were affected…”. “Yes, injured and dead“. “…are they all dead now”? 😡 Seriously?! Sit down and learn how to act right!

    3. @Natalie Rozean
“Yes, injured AND dead.” That’s a somewhat vague answer. Without an answer along the lines of “Yes, X number dead, and Y number injured,” the follow up question is a legit one.

    4. Few things to keep in mind:
      1. The public will ask dumb questions too, so a reporter might as well ask them.
      2. This is likely the biggest story any of them at that briefing have ever covered.
      3. It being a Sunday in Nova Scotia, I don’t see the A-Team of journalists parachuting in to get there first.

  3. i’m so sorry to all the family, friends and members of the community for this tragic loss. may the victims rest in peace🤍 gone but never forgotten

  4. Omg now they are going crazy down home so sad with all this covid stuff and now this .I pray for my home province RIP to the officer who lost her life my heart goes out to her family and friends and to the rcmp so very sad ,and the other families who lost there loved ones RIP my heart breaks for all involved .

    1. One person went crasy/was sick. Prob following to many conspiracy theories.. instead of doing what’s worked in Taiwan, China, Italy, South Korea, Germany.

  5. This may be the most violent and heinous crime in the recent history of our province. I’m at a loss for words.

    1. Angel Gutierrez: Nova Scotia is not in America. Your comment is quite irrelevant, particularly to the deceased and their grieving families.

    2. @Fluffy Muffin Well Nove Scotia is part of America… there is 35 countries in America and 23 in North America…And yes you are right Nova Scotia is not in United States.

    3. @Angel Gutierrez when something bad happens somewhere, it doesn’t help to use another location as a comparison especially in a circumstance like this when lives are lost and families are devastated.

    1. seriouslyyy!!!! The world’s literally went down the drain…. Everyone’s so negative and selfish… It’s quite sad what we’ve come too. Whatever happened to kindness and love one another? So so so sad. My Heart goes to all affected, may u find comfort in this time.

    2. Take me with you back to 2019. Just so much going on with Covid 19 and now mass shooting in my province…so unfathomable and surreal..

    3. Doktor McNasty this may be off topic but China should be punished but yet again China produces goods across pretty much the whole world for cheap manufacturing costs and they can increase them by 4x and other countries won’t be able to do anything about it

  6. To all Nova Scotians, my heart is with you all. Deepest condolences to families who lost a loved one, and a particular blessing to Officer Stevenson’s family.

  7. My deepest condolences go out to the all the affected families of this murderer. I am glad the shooter was permanently put down and l won’t mourn his passing

  8. Madness absolute madness and senseless taking of lives. Prayers and thoughts for the fallen victims. May their memories live forever. This is not Canada.
