My family doctor spends about five minutes with me every 3 months. I’d switch to another family doctor but no one is taking new patients.
sounds like a step towards private health care.
Once this starts, it will just get worse.
This is just going to eliminate the ones that can’t pay to lose their Dr. and fill the ER up more.
My BC family doctor is greedy af. Doctor’s notes should be free.
I, believe tax payers pay more than enough for those services. The money isn’t being properly handled. Family doctors make nothing compared to other areas of specialities. That doesn’t give a doctor the right who is employed in one sector to include another sector for more money. It’s either other. Either she, (this B.C. family doctor) terminates her position in the universal sector and branches off and sets up a private practice. She wants to make money under the table. That is wrong on so many levels. Especially, when tax payers are giving money towards the health system. I, recall a time when family doctors did all that. No, charge. And, they spent time with their patients. They handled more than one medical issue at a time. That’s not the case now. Now, it is a business. Get as many patients in and out as possible. If they have other medical concerns book a separate appointment. Another charge, more money.
