    2. That’s not the way it works. Usually the recording artists would do it for “free”, but since they have a huge name recognition (branding) kids are probably going to ask their parents to buy the movie or the song. The singers stay in the limelight, they’re doing it for a good cause (Feed America), and they sell records. Most people will be happy, although there will a lot of people that will not be content with any outcome. Mind you, the singers don’t have to do that. They have $millions already.
