Trump only ever pandered to his base, just as a cult leader does. If you read a book on indoctrination tactics used in cults, you would see trump employed many tactics. The thing about indoctrination is that the subjects never even realize that their will has been twisted until shown in hindsight, usually by intervention from lived ones or after a traumatic or sinister act. Its a real thing. Theres a reason that some refer to the die hard trump supporters as cultists. Sure, he had a part in securing doses for the US, well his government did. But that’s it.
Scientists started the research well before Trump had any involvement.
Pharmaceutical companies were researching a working vaccine, while Trump still claimed covid 19 was “just like the flu” remember?
He also made fun of people wearing masks, spread conspiracy theories etc.
