Blinken: U.S. Will ‘Respond Forcefully’ To Russian Aggression | MSNBC

In an interview with Andrea Mitchell ahead of President Biden's summit with Vladimir Putin, Secretary of State Tony Blinken says of the president's desire to have a more stable, predictable relationship with Russia, "there may be an ability to work on some issues where we have overlapping interests. But if Russia is going to continue to take reckless or aggressive actions against us or against any of our partners or allies, we'll respond forcefully."

  1. and how will we respond to attacks from the inside? so far not doing a good job at that. since trump and his believers arent in prison yet.

    1. @Yoda Man – And what happens if the Republicans win in 2024. Can you share your address, so that they can pick you up and put you behind bars???

    2. Dude Trump will never be in prison….
Does he deserve it? He deserves more than just prison, but only Texas does that sort of thing right now and they ain’t going to do that to Trump ๐Ÿ˜‚.
But as far as Trump going to prison that’s not ever going to happen and I’ll tell you why… It’ll spark another civil war with the extremists that’s why he’s not in jail right now ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿ˜’

    3. @Yoda Man because them two above me^^, are basically snowflakes who can’t handle reality so they turn to rage (as they have already shown that they are obviously but hurt).
You have to be careful when you deal with republicans, they are sensitive ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

  2. “U.S. will respond forcefully to Russian aggression”
Translation: “we will complain at the U.N. and enact more sanctions”.

    1. If they attack Ukraine, you can believe that the Ukrainians will have antitank and antimissile sent to them immediately. It will not be “do me a favor”.

    2. @Hankakah OR THEY CAN HIDE UNDER THE BLANKETS OBAMA GAVE THEM FOR PROTECTION AGAINST RUSSIA. LOL.

  3. Friendly reminder that the Stable Genius had all notes from his private meetings with Putin destroyed, which is odd since most annual job performance reviews with your boss are kept in the HR records. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. @1 From CREW (Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Washington):
“This is far from the first time that Ivankaโ€™s Chinese trademarks have raised ethics questions. In May 2018, Ivanka Trumpโ€™s business received approval for several new Chinese trademarks a week before President Trump announced that he wanted to lift the ban on the Chinese company ZTE, for violating US sanctions. In 2017, the business received three new Chinese trademarks on the same day she dined with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Ivanka receives preliminary approval for these new Chinese trademarks while her father continues to wage a trade war with China. Since she has retained her foreign trademarks, the public will continue to have to ask whether President Trump has made foreign policy decisions in the interest of his and his familyโ€™s businesses.”
Hmm. Doesn’t sound very “kosher” to me.

    2. @Buff Straw Your flaw is that because of your emotional leaning you assume Ivanka committed a crime. I know you are emotionally driven but consider other things besides what make you feel like you havenโ€™t been lied to by your Political leaders who you gave your freedom away for less than a less than 1% chance of death.

    3. @1 “I know you are emotionally driven”
Please explain how you know this. Do you have a degree in psychology? Or maybe you’re a telepath? Did you consult your Magic 8-Ball? Ouija board? Tea leaves? Astrology? Did you pull this talking point out of Uranus?

    4. @1 “I know you are emotionally driven”
On Jan 6, I saw an angry mob of furious snowflakes invade the Capitol, because they weren’t adult enough to accept the results of an election they lost. Now that’s what I call “emotionally driven.”

  4. So he’s not going to have a secret meeting with him, and come out wiping his chin like traitor 45?…..Well that’s different….

  5. Is important for citizens of respective countries to have peace. The world couldn’t sustain a war without having bad ecological outcomes. Both would lose in the long term. Is a major interest to live and be among their own. No one wants war. Both need to collaborate and produce more ecological energies and serve their respective people peace.

    1. A nuclear war might reverse GLOBAL WARMING. Don’t assume true believers wouldn’t be willing to take that chance.

  6. One pipeline and a meat producer down is an inconvenience. If the US strikes the Russian pipeline, it could mean the crippling of the entire economy. Putinโ€™s playing with fire.

    1. @N W “Whatโ€™s Biden done that you like the most ?” 4 things: 1) Fast-tracked Covid vaccines. 2) Taken the pandemic seriously. 3) Behaved like an intelligent grown-up instead of a petulant toddler. 4) Pi$$ed you off.

  7. We have democratic relations with other countries, until we mess it up, and are no longer a democracy.

  8. Road Agency, department of special optics. The French revolution and first class traveling accommodations. Making a SPECTACLE of oneself considering. The department of character actor assassination. Sadomasochistic magicians present a character upon the diplomatic front. Everyday folks either accommodate this ruling class sadists delusion or perhaps they do not.

  9. For the first time in 4 years, I have every confidence that my President will approach the meeting with Putin with CLASS, respect, protocol and firmness in conveying America’s concerns President Biden is not a loose cannon who shoots his mouth off without thinking of consequences.
