Bodies of two Dominicans found in Antigua

(Jamaica Observer) ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua and Barbuda police have appealed to people both here and in Dominica for assistance as they investigated the circumstances that led to the discovery of the bodies of two Dominican nationals on Friday.

Public Relations Officer in the Office of Strategic Communications, Corporal Frankie Thomas said that the bodies of the two men, believed to be in their early 30’s, were discovered in a house in the Cedar Valley area, north of there.

“The circumstances surrounding their deaths are not quite clear at this moment. The investigations are in its embryonic stages,” he said confirming that the men were of “Dominican descent”.

He said that law enforcement officials were soliciting the assistance of nationals from both islands as they seek to determine the circumstances that led to the deaths of the two men.

“We are appealing to the general public here in Antigua and Barbuda and more so…especially in Dominica that if they have any information that can be shared with the police…to do so,” Thomas said.
