    1. Because there was a shortage of masks and not enough evidence at the time for it to be beneficial. what do the chinese do during a pandemic? They put on a mask and still got massive spread.

    2. @Tracey No Matter What It was already known in early March that this virus impacts the elderly far more than any other age group. It was obvious back then that the primary goal of a government’s reaction should have been to protect long-term care facilities, since that was, by far, the most vulnerable to the infection.

But instead of doing that, governments became convinced the virus would hit the public broadly, and took measures in accordance with that mistaken belief.

Why did governments make that mistake? Probably because of “experts” like Niel Ferguson of Imperial Collage and the IHME, which both put out hysterical predictions of the damage the virus would do. Their predictions were utterly and completely wrong.

    3. @Bernardo J NOBODY. WAS. READY. FOR. THE. PANDEMIC.
Everyone wants to blame SOMEBODY but reality is, no one was prepared.

    4. @Call Me Ishmael Do you think the predictions were wrong because this is a novel virus and we don’t have all the answers yet? Moron. There are long lasting impacts even if you don’t die from the virus, but had it been any deadlier (which we wouldn’t know at the time) those “hysterical” predictions could’ve been a reality.

    5. @Bernardo J How does one expect to know all the answers to a virus that has literally just emerged?

    1. And here we are. Just living a boring dystopia. Waiting for the next big event. Watch freedom erode like a tide coming in.

      Yeah happy Canada Day though.

    1. So, she’s admitted to expecting a 2nd wave… I would push to stopping the 1st wave, THEN, preventing the 2nd wave.

Remember, she said that there was little risk to Canadians… so those who have fallen victim can thank her and Trudeau.

    2. @C K Won’t be much of a second wave since the virus has already burned through its most susceptible population: the residents of long-term care facilities. After that pool of potential virus victims is exhausted, there is little else for the virus to significantly impact.

  1. How she still has her job is beyond understanding. She lied, held back information and sits on board in China? When she talks is all Blah Blah Blah Liar!

    1. Masks show how the idiots are accepting their slavery; they are useless and a health hazard. There is no epidemic but the slow-minded ignorance of a gullible public.

    1. How so? What makes you qualified to draw that conclusion? Seriously, I want you to thoroughly explain why she has little credibility. I want details, and sources. If you are going to post statements like this, you need to be able to explain why.

    2. @Nate C. She mirrored WHO at every point. It wasn’t transmissable human to human, masks didn’t help, Hydrochloroquine was dangerous, etc… what ever WHO said she said and WHO said what China told them to. If you had to ask you haven’t been paying attention.

  2. You don’t need to wear masks don’t shut the airports down whoops. Everybody start wearing masks shut the airport down. You know nothing except for what you’ve been told. Another one of Froot Loops higher
