  1. We were detained in the D.R. last January on a Swoop Airlines flight which was continuing on to Cayo Coco. No explaination.

  2. I just don’t understand, why this so-called reporter didn’t ask about the reasons or alleged crimes. The role of reporters is not to be nice. Polite? Definitely.

    1. i agree completely but i’m hoping in this case they’re waiting until they actually get out of the country before they talk about it.

    2. 1:20 It’s inferred the crew were detained as suspects for the bags of illicit substances that were found. However, according to the captain they received no additional information and were treated as “guilty ’til proven innocent.” I assume they went over the reasons or alleged crimes in full length newspaper articles.

  3. Yeah I’ll be sure to go to the D.R. to spend my tourist dollars πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ‘

    Not!πŸ˜’

  4. Which company was Robert working for, will he be fully compensated by them, did they go to bat for him to get he and the crew released? Did the Canadian government do anything other than talk, like with the 2 Michaels incident? Should Robert and his crew be suing the Dominican Republic? And finally should we as Canadians be warned more fully of the danger of travelling to these “banana republics”? So many unanswered questions. Advice to Robert and his company and crew; find a competent lawyer.
