@R N comparing to those who can’t take this virus seriously whilemany people have been dead daily, and continue to make decisions that help the virus to spread, I am neither suicidal or a cult member. They are. I am just someone who think some people are incapable of adapting their changing environment and I can’t get over the fact that many other innocent (mostly elderly or immuno-compromised) are sick or will get sick from a totally preventable disease.
Earlier today I walked my mom on a bike path (it’s been a week since she has been out. With a pacemaker and old age, she is in high risk). None of the joggers and bicyclists wore masks. They were very nice and said hello to us when passing by. All I could think was I wear masks to protect you from the droplets from my body so you are safe from me if I had COVID. You on the other hand, could get me or my mother infected with your droplets. I could be sick or asymptomatic, my mom has at least 60% chance to be hospitalized, 30% to die. Your polite gesture is indeed refreshing during this divisive climate but your ignorance or selfishness (or both) will make you a murderer. So you now know my motivation for my criticism for those who still won’t treat this virus seriously.
Me wearing masks is for others sake, you choosing not wearing masks is for your own sake. That is the difference.
