@That Indian Dude Yes the north is hit harder, sprawling poverty and overcrowding. But I also agree they took it seriously and since were hit a little later than others has had time to get something in place to help. Some of the mobile testing and treating centres look like a good idea. Hope it works out.
@Chris House yeah. Western style lockdowns are not a good idea for countries like India. Peru for example had the first and stricter quarantine in south America. But majority of Peruvians have no refrigerator so they have to shop daily from street markets and the vendors there became super carriers. In countries like India hunger is worse than COVID. The lockdown was ill timed. There should have been targeted cluster lockdowns.

The real death number is about 200,000. Florida and Texas are only reporting about half of deaths. They’re trying to hide the rest as random pneumonia and heart attack deaths, but they aren’t; they are Covid deaths. The CDC knows how many of pneumonia deaths there should be this time of year, from years of data, and there are many, many over. Republicans lie. It’s a fact of life like ‘the sun rises in the east.’

origionally this was, by a lot of people, blamed on china and called the china virus. now? in usa, trump is fully to blame. so maybe we should be calling it “the trump virus”

china was only the first country “identified” the coronavirus in wuhan outbreak. but the origin of the coronavirus is not likely from china per cambridge study. it’s like the usa who was the first country identified hiv virus in san francisco outbreak. but the origin of the hiv virus was belived to be somewhere in africa.
and according to the latest genetic study, china doesnt even have ancestry strain of coronavirus. the ancestry strain of the virus was found mainly circulating in the us and australia per cambridge study. that’s probably why the us tops the world in terms of numbers of covid infection because the virus has been circulating in the us for quite some time. and the us cdc director already admitted in congressional hearing in march that many us hospitals misidentified covid patients as flu patients. he just didnt specify the time of misidentification. my guess it’s last fall.
and this virus surely has been circulating in the world before wuhan outbreak. health authorities in spain, italy, and brazil all found coronavirus in its waste water samples dated back as early as MARCH 2019. it seems to me that no american media has ever reported it.

Believe me this is only going to get worse. With deaths lagging behind by up to 6 or 8 weeks and no comprehensive shutdown I can’t see any significant improvement for at least two months.
If this continues to spread into more lesser hit States it could still be like this in November.
