This is so true! We are in NYC too, and it is so sad to know how much worse this will get for many of states because we lived it. I hope that they do not experience the same capacity issues we did with exponential growth but considering how scary things got here when we were ALL INSIDE and didn’t dare go out without a MASK, I cannot imagine how this will end well with people still viewing this like a mythical unicorn. People also tend to focus on death tolls, and unfortunately overlook just how gravely ill you can be, and the long term damage that can occur even if you do survive. Everyone in NYC knows someone that had it and also someone that died from it! Wear masks people, this is not something to dare. You get no bravery points. Better safe than sorry!

When old people are dying the most, everyone is like “reopen the economy”. If newborns start dying from this at high rates (lets pray they don’t) everyone will be begging for the country to close. Shows the lack of value of our old people.
Newborns and children are prioritized so that we can give them the opportunity to reach old age. the next stage of life after being elderly is to pass on.

Hearing that teenagers having parties to deliberately get covid is disturbing. This speaks to the morality, the arrogance, the lack of respect for others, that describe Americans . I don’t think Trump is the cause of all of this, but, he certainly is bringing it to a head. This is the way these kids have been raised. They learn this behaviour from their parents. Prejudice, political hate, etc. Americans are in denial and believe world revolves around them. Not all Americans are like that but that is how they are perceived. Some believe wearing a mask takes away their freedom. They live in the land of the free. They are so misinformed because they have no leadership. They are so lost. Hopefully November brings change, but I think they are a nation divided and will not have peace and respect for each other if they have different points of view on any subject . You just have to read the comments to see how they react to each other’s points of view.

@Mr. Greatness Just to point out… Maybe they didn’t point out Covid during the protests because the protesters where there for what they believed was a noble reason (or most of them atleast), racial injustice, and were willing to risk the Covid for social change. Could it have made Covid worse? Absolutely. Think about it like this, if the cause seems noble enough, the risks can be set aside in hope for the rewards. It’s the reason the right wing media backed the “Get America Back To Work” protests.
