Don Lemon and CNN part ways

Longtime anchor Don Lemon and CNN have severed ties, the network announced. "Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years," CNN CEO Chris Licht said in a memo to employees. #CNN #News

  1. Who didn’t see this coming? They just needed the right opportunity and since Fox announced Tucker why not drop the Lemon bomb as well…

    1. @Jar Head Well, the lawsuit with Dominion was just settled and we know Tucker knew Rudy and Sidney Powell were lying, yet kept promoting them. Why would Tucker quit out of the blue?

    1. @Luke So that’s the sum of your being, is it? Your sexuality, political persuasion and race. That’s what your political machine has reduced you to…

  2. Honestly surprised cnn talked about don lemon lashing out at cnn . I thought they would’ve skipped that part lol

    1. @Sunny Mitra What media outlet do you find has journalistic integrity? Some wingnut here on YouTube?

  3. This is fallout from the Fox Settlement, which cuts both ways. If you say stupid stuff and become a walking multi-million dollar lawsuit for your news network, you are Kryptonite.

    1. So they fired him post victory after the lawsuit because he was a liability towards what was said about the lawsuit

    1. @Shelby Allen With regards to Lemon, it’s not just me. But if you like him, that’s fine with me.

    2. @dave mitchell thats not what happened, the guest was spewing false narratives and don corrected him. Funny you claim don was angry meanwhile the other guy was literally yelling, trying to paint a narrative i see.

  4. Lemon had become his own name! Fellow co-workers had complained of his frisky fingers, pushy propositions and his constant complaining of how everyone mistreated him.

    1. @B Babbich Maybe that’s why the put him on the morning slot with Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow. Three “ladies” talking nonsense. Don should have been smart and left before they “promoted” him from his evening slot. Clown.

    2. I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT ALL THESE COMPLAINTS CAME AFTER THEY GOT RID OF CUOMO AND NEEDED AN EXCUSE TO GO AFTER LEMON, THERES BEEN WAY TO MUCH TALK THAT HASN`T MADE ANY SENSE

    1. @Zain Khan Realtor well, I was watching that old movie “Bruce Almighty” w Jennifer Aniston.. my brother said “so weird, she’s so much hotter now”
I mean, she does look better.. but she is a exception
People stop working out and taking care of themselves,
      Don’t have good genes, etc
She has great genes, has always worked out and took care of herself

  5. If you’ve been following someone who’s now being fired from his job for the things he’s told you… maybe now is the time you’ll start thinking for yourself 🙄

    1. @Fernando Medina Tucker is reading from a teleprompter? You’re high, Fern, if you think that Tucker’s opinions were not of his team and of his own. Really? How do you come up with this?

  6. I wouldn’t call Don Lemmon’s statement as “lashing out,” especially if his assertion that management fired him thru his agent is true. That’s a pretty low blow after 17 years.

    1. I have zero doubt that Don Lemon actually lashed out. He was never a level-headed person, which is why none of this is a surprise to me. I honestly would’ve expected it to happen sooner.

    2. Maybe they wanted to remind him how he treats people even as a “news anchor” in front of the world.

  7. It proves ..no one is indespensible …I haven’t followed Don Lemon much ..but the changing of the guards, in management…it is always a shake up ..

    1. Don claims he quit. Bud Light just gave him a sponsorship. They are putting Don and Elton John on a can naked

  8. Wow Im surprised to see this kind of tactic used at that level. This is how most tech “partings” happen as well.

  9. Nowadays there is nothing you can say about anyone or a group that someone would not find offensive. Don got a raw deal. Especially, if it was for ticky tac comments. If ratings were down that’s a good reason. Everyone loves money. 😊 Best wishes Don.

  10. I find it funny how they talk about “CNN” in the third person as if they aren’t *CNN* the ones who fired him.
