@roof pizza Google is not YOUR friend. The average salary for CUPE workers is $39000 and that’s been all over the news, undisputed, for months. These workers are laid off at Christmas, March Break and summer because their job doesn’t exist.

I felt he was very nice about it. I am sick and tired of the education unions constantly asking for more, they have been at war with every political party in power as long as i can remember. Teachers have it a lot better than most, well paid, benefits galore, pensions over the top and summers off, oh yeh they do do course’s in the summer LoL. maybe they should share some of the money with the others in the school system? Quit bitching the average parent who works is really tired of your poor me demands

For any watching this, since Ford apparently forgot who he’s negotiating with. CUPE took a strike vote to see where they stand. Teachers are represented by ETFO and OSSTF, neither of which took a strike vote.
Lastly both unions asked to negotiate during the summer to figure out a deal and avoid classroom disruptions. The Conservatives/Ministry said no
