@Brian Nave I’ve always been concerned about vulnerabilities of digital / computer style machine voting, but just because vulnerabilities exist, doesn’t mean they have been taken advantage of yet. U prob would be surprised what vulnerabilities exist in all computer base systems currently. Like ur phone, internet banking, even credit card by phone, point of service machines. One place I worked they changed computer systems from an older slower to faster one, and when atm transactions were processed all deposits and withdrawals double posted every single day until they hard coded a pause in. They couldn’t understand the issue but seemed to do with time stamps. Think some processes were starting during the same minute others were ending and or ending during the same minute they started and the code was confused mainly due to poor coding and faster processing. Basically everything thats computerized is flawed, and nothing is secure. Smartphones OS and APPs seem to me the most insecure things we’ve ever created with the potential to cause the most dmg, but we do so cause nobody pushes back to require them to be secured to the degree they need to be or should have been long ago. Ur basically walking around with a potentially rooted spy device at all times by any app u use and just hoping for the best.
