    1. Totally agree.
Republican Senators need to CONVICT him.

The DEFENSE team said statements were NOT protected free speech IF T RUMP instructed his listeners to commit CRIME or violence and TRUMP DID: That “march” to the Capitol was NOT authorized by the permit so T RUMP’S listeners were ALL breaking laws and trespassing on Capitol grounds and in the Capitol to “fight” “stop” influence Pence and Congress (RINOs) per T rump instructions. No windows in inner chambers — only way to influence Pence or Congress was to go inside — force their way inside.

    2. @Sue Zbell need to stop giving illegals right to vote ever and there family to for ever , they wont keep invading illegally then

    1. @a propos oh my God you swallowed the governments lie! Quit blaming it on the voters! A lot of people didn’t vote because they didn’t like anyone who we were given to vote for. And yeah those people are selected for us we don’t get to pick who’s running for president! How dare you fall for their psyops BS and blame the voters!

    2. @Janet Baker Didn’t I say that half of all eligible voters didn’t vote in the primaries and one third didn’t vote in the generals? ALL candidates win by margins far smaller than these fractions. If the remaining people voted, they would determine who is put forward and who eventually wins. It is not rocket science. It is done in other modern countries all over the planet. Evidently, you have given up trying to do your part. Therefore, give up complaining about the process. Only your silence would be consistent with your stance.

    3. @a propos Your anger is completely misguided. Instead of being mad at 83 million Americans who didn’t vote be mad at the REASON they didn’t vote. Neither party represents them and how extreme both have become has made people, myself included, completely disenfranchised and alienated. Time to reel in the far left and far right politics.

    4. @God of destruction diecast Apparently we’ll turn into one if we DO vote too so what’s the difference? The left wants open borders and as a straight white guy they’ve declared me their enemy. Would you vote for someone who hates you? Wants to minimize you and blame you for everyone’s problems? Didn’t think so.

    1. The truth needs to get out. All of it.

    2. @Sue Zbell
Yes dear, the members Congress are all deaf, blind, and immobilized. There is no way they would have ever seen, or heard a protest outside the capital.

    1. MSNs helps these parasites get re elected by the people. I have to wonder now if those elections are as corrupt as the last

    2. @Jim McLeod Excellent answer Jim. The system is working as intended and always has. If a corrupt politician manages to slip by it is the voter’s responsibility to correct that oversight. If that doesn’t happen, it is tacit approval of what that politician stands for. And it applies to both parties equally. I think the real issue is apathy and a lack of political literacy. Voting Republican or Democrat because that’s what you call yourself is careless at best and detrimental at worst. Votes should be informed upon what that candidate believes and acts on, not because of an R or D beside their name.

    3. @Jim McLeod As you allude to, and as George Carlin once said, it’s garbage in, garbage out. If you have an arrogant, selfish, amoral citizenry, you will only get arrogant, selfish, amoral leaders. Our leaders are only drawn from the pool of people that America can provide. Each individual has the moral responsibility better themselves in their own lives. That’s where it has to start.

  1. Just form a new party, how is that so difficult. Happens in other countries all the time – if you cannot find (moral) common ground any more, it’s time to part ways

  2. What do 120 former Republican officials meeting to consider breaking away from Trumpism compare to not even six out of 50 Republican Senators willing to uphold their own Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

  3. The attack against constitutional process on 1-6 was an attack the living, breathing Constitution. There is, by the nature of The Constitution itself, no greater crime possible under the law. It negates the basic concept that the executive is separate from the legislature, it makes law & order seem absurdly petty by comparison to the citizenry, and it completely undermines any notion of democracy. Would the insurrection have happened if Trimp had rightfully conceded? Absurd! We’re at the limit of crime, but the punishment seems short of just and the jurors are partisan coconspirators rejecting the basic tenants of the legislature’s independence from the executive. Also, why didn’t you preside, Chief Justice? History will mark this as the end of this Great Experiment without conviction— but we are presently very, very lost indeed.

  4. What took your party so long not you personally but the others. It has to be more to a party than judges who are not constitutionalist and tax cuts for the greedy.

    1. ITT: The angry bleating of Trump’s loyal slaves. For those asking: Yes, I think you need to be arrested or dealt with more permanently. Back in WWII, when a German said “Jews will not replace us”, we put him down. It’s 2021, white nationalist Americans are screaming “Jews will not replace us”. The solution is the same.

    2. @Scott Martin Scott, I don’t have to hide my political beliefs online, hence my name and avatar. Americans hate Nazis. You morons on the other hand, you apologize so sweetly when you want to keep your jobs. Like the capitol riot traitors, singing their anti Trump song.

    3. @D F H you need to stop drinking the kool-aid bud. You are equating Trump voters with white supremacists, which is disengenious or just plain dumb. This party mostly hates identity politics, while yours is busy playing that game wholesale, all day, every day.

Should all democrats be arrested for a few antifa executing a guy? Or bashing heads in? Or burning cities down? That is what you are advocating here and you need to calm down with that rhetoric.

  5. This rhetoric was (almost) understandable when dems had no power. But, Now!?…Nah, there’s something deeply wrong with these people.
