  1. I am glad to see Canada stepping up and helping Ukrainian refugees but I don’t see how their plight is any more urgent than that of Afghan refugees who have been waiting for over a year!

  3. everyone’s still obssessed about Ukraine, no one seems to care about the economic crisis happening in Sri Lanka…

  4. I have no problem with the Federal government bringing in productive immigrants, but they can not dump the expenses onto the Provinces. They need to own up to their share of health care costs.

    1. ya ok. you move to Ukraine then. If you don’t want to do that. Then i guess you don’t have any issues AT ALL with them coming here do you.

    2. @MPlain Learn to read. I said The Federal government needs to own up to their health cost responsibilities!

  5. So much talk of โ€˜sovereign rightsโ€™ yet Canadians canโ€™t even travel freely in or out of their own country.

  7. Are those Ukrainians flying in fully vaxxed or does this โ€œlawโ€ only apply to taxpaying Canadian citizens just wondering

  8. I am actually in Moldova to help my Ukrainian mother in-law. It has been weeks now that we are waiting to get the visa. She is over 61 and not required for biometrics. We still havenโ€™t received the document required for her visa. We were told that it will take about 2 weeks after they received the visa approval to include the visa in her passport. It is a shame to see this.
