Flooded Italian village visible for first time in decades

For decades, all that was visible of the village of Old Curon in northern Italy was the tip of the church belltower emerging from Lake Resia.

That recently changed when repair work on a reservoir revealed the remnants of the houses that were flooded in 1950 to create a hydroelectric plant.
