    So, only another 30ish million jobs to get to the “normal”

  2. “Good Jobs Report?” 2.5 M jobs, 42.6 M Americans file for unemployment. 2.5/42.6=0.058685, 5.8% of unemployed went back to work. Spread across America, is this really something to crow about?

    • It’s a good sign, and moving in the right direction, unless of course you’re a democrat. This means Creepy Joe Biden is going to be demolished this November.

    • My post was sarcasm. And you ruined it with efin politics, TU.

    • @ckaz007 Joe Biden stuttered his entire life,when he repeats a phrase or pauses and sometimes looks away he is recovering his basic speech rhythm…tell me what is bunker boys excuse for being so stupid….

    • 538 did a GREAT article on the economy and the jobs report.

      The summary paragraph:
      “And while there are signs of a recovery in the data, there is also plenty of evidence that the rebound did not reach all corners of the economy, particularly the most vulnerable ones. For now, the best grade anyone can give the job market is an incomplete — with even more emphasis placed on the next jobs report, which will speak volumes about how to interpret this one.”

    Trump = obfuscation.

  4. Do these new jobs numbers include all the new jobs left behind by the 110,000 Americans we’ve lost since t’rump failed on the federal response? 🤔

  5. George Floyd’s murderer is only seen as a murderer because a video exists of his crime. How many other “George Floyds” are there who were never videoed?

  6. Good jobs report?!?! Folks aren’t working?!?! They’re protesting!!!

    How are there all these new jobs yet so many claiming unemployment. Makes no sence to me? Keep it together

    • Its not new jobs, its people returning to their old jobs. Trump wants the country to open up, so people get back to work. Democrats want everyone to stay home.

      Tim Kimble Mental health becomes a luxury when food and shelter and jobs are gone. I can tell you are blessed, because only someone who has never experienced a lack of necessities can be worried about our happiness during a time like this.

    What “good jobs report..?” We have lost ten times as many jobs as we’ve gained.

    • Shawna Weesner | June 5, 2020 at 10:01 PM | Reply

      Tessmage Tessera We haven’t gained any jobs either; people went back to the same jobs that had to close during lockdown.

  20. Look, it is easy to figure out some of these new hires. More IT professionals. What have we used more of than ever before during the pandemic: the internet. IT professionals never seem to get included as essential workers.
