GOVERNMENT TO ENGAGE RESIDENTS OF CANEFIELD TO DISCUSS AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT UNDER URBAN RENEWAL PROJ

Residents of the community of Canefield will have an opportunity to discuss their  ideas and plans for the  future development of their community when the Parliamentary Representative, Hon. Rayburn Blackmoore and Minister for Urban Renewal, Hon. Julius Timothy hold a Town Hall Meeting in Canefield next week.

 

The purpose of the Meeting is to sensitise the residents of that urban community on Government’s plans for the area under the Urban Renewal project. The Government is keen to consult as wide a cross-section of the Canefield population as possible as it seeks to develop the area in a comprehensive and holistic manner.

 

An outcome of the meeting will be the establishment of a Planning Committee to guide the future development of Canefield under the Urban Renewal project.

 

The Town Hall Meeting will take place at the Canefield Community Centre on Thursday, January 17th 2008 at 7 pm. (Ends)
