  1. John Tory should resign, he did the honourable thing, he revealed what had happened, no one would’ve known about his affair had he not brought it up himself. Now half the city wants him to resign, the other half doesn’t. I have one question though, Tory did wrong and he should go, our PM’s done many wrongs, continues to do wrongs that are much more serious and effects people’s lives in a serious way, the affair doesn’t effect anyone’s life, but many of the PM’s wrongs do, why isn’t anyone asking for the PM’s resignation

    1. He didn’t bring it up himself. The Star was investigating him for 2 months and broke the story, he then admitted his wrongdoing and resigned

    1. Apparently she’s working somewhere else, so I assume so. They reported that she got a job elsewhere sometime before the resignation speech, but I’m not sure when exactly.

  2. Please stop calling it a mistake – affairs are never a mistake- especially between someone in power with a staff member –

    1. I think she’s saying that in this circumstance you cant feign ignorance that you didnt know any better (or what one would call a mistake, colloquially)

    2. Yes it is a choice! He was always saying had high moral standards but then has an affair! I can’t believe him anymore.

    3. @Shadowkey392 An “accident” insinuates you didn’t mean for it to happen, A mistake is made when you know and willing RISK [KNOWINGLY] at and out come but do it anyway HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING WAS WRONG Ethically & Morally There is a difference

    4. A mistake is “Sorry, honey I accidently got butterscotch ice cream instead of vanilla at the grocery store” lol

  3. If he stays, get a divorce and then he no longer has to focus on his marriage and can bed any 31 year old he feels like. He can retire from being Mayor of Toronto and Ford can appoint him a high paying job with the province with a big title with no real responsibilities. Hard to hide preferential treatment when you are sleeping with the staff… who else knew before he made the public admission and why did she leave and relocate???

  4. Everyone falls at different points in their life. I just don’t understand why it had to be broadcasted? We don’t need to know. Too many judges and not enough compassion. Not saying it was ok. But, Who am I to judge?

    1. It’s one thing if it’s a private failure, but it’s another if that failure is him having a relationship with a young, subordinate employee. This isn’t about the affair. It’s about a boss messing around with an employee — an abuse of power, and something that wouldn’t fly in 98% of the workplaces out there, especially public office.

  5. The only analyst that would make the difference is his wife, nobody else matters. You got that! If he is still at home; either all’s well or she has not spoken. Period!

  6. It’s only an issue when you make it an issue. I don’t have a problem with the mayor having an affair while serving in office. But once he announced that it was an issue and that he should be punished by resigning as mayor then it’s an issue.

  7. Fix the roads and infrastructure. Patchwork does not work on roads. Yes, until at least 2030 Toronto needs cars to survive.

  8. I remember when he ran from Mayor and beat out Rob Ford, he said he would lead this city with integrity and dignity 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣buddy your a Politician yeah enough said.
