Spitting in anyone’s face is an assault, not to mention extremely anti-social behaviour, that only someone who in mentally impaired would attempt to do. The officer here was well within his right to protect himself, from the possibility of catching a deadly virus, from a nut job. If you look at the video again, you can see he is not choking her but trying to keep her from spitting on him again. The young woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest. She has not had the officer charged with choking her, or any charges relating to her arrest.. She was trying to get her 15mins of fame, but failed dismally.

What you didn’t see was that she spat at the officer and refused to provide ID. She got what she deserved
So basically police have been ordered not to arrest rioters and looters, but its acceptable for them to abuse a person for not wearing a mask.
