How Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Is Dealing With The ‘Trauma’ Of Capitol Attack

In a new interview with Latino USA, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) says after the Capitol invasion on January 6, she’s dealing with the trauma by putting herself in a more “proactive space.” Maria Hinojosa, who conducted the interviews, says Rep. Ocasio-Cortez offers an extraordinary “roadmap” for the future, especially for Latino voters, who are the second largest voting bloc in the country.

  1. What trump
    Other republicans
    Are doing
    (denying the election validity)
Is the very definition of Sedition
    Look it up.folks
All of them should be charged and jailed long as possible
    Its sedition plain and simple

    1. @Ran Kat oh yes, we’ve heard. They were hugging and kissing the police. Odd how so many ended up injured, maimed, and dead. 🙄🙄🙄

    2. @Bryan inciting insurrection is what you charge the leader with. not the rioters. Trump will get his day in court. the bums will turn like a pancake.

    3. @Bryan Doesn’t change the fact that most of them remain locked up or facing indictments on other charges. Huge fines, lawyer fees, court costs, lost their jobs, losing their homes, wife’s and kids have to go on, “oh no” “socialism” while daddy’s in jail.

Who cares they haven’t been charged with treason or sedition because we believe they should be.

They’re losing everything they worked for. It’s priceless! 👍🤣

    4. @Enchanted Homeschool a cop was killed which results the death total being 1, and if I recall the one who killed them was a liberal activist

    1. Donald j Trump is a national treasure therefore we should keep him locked in a treasure chest

  2. Forget politics, as you’ve come to see it, as a contest between Democrats and Republicans. Today the struggle is democracy versus oligarchy.

    1. @Nic Moreno I’m half Ojibwa and I grew up on a rez. Yes, I understand the damage Trump has done. But I also understand that white liberals are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Liberals live to make race as toxic and divisive as they can. This ‘critical race theory’ they’re pushing on minorities is sick. They want all brown and black people to see ourselves as victims who will shout out ‘white privilege’ to everyone we meet. I’m sorry your daughter had those thoughts. I’ve known navajos and many navajo parents will forsake their children for going into the white world. I grew up listening to all the horrible things white people did to my relatives and ancestors. I don’t know you, but maybe some of those thoughts are just a natural part of being indian? Trump certainly brings out the ugly racism in his followers. But democrats have exploited us just as badly imo. I’m sad that Trump brought all these ugly racist thoughts to the surface. But that doesn’t mean I like democrats any better. And I certainly don’t trust democrats.

    2. @Seeking The truth I guess if you’re into politics as a Team sport. That’s how corruption works.
I, for one, am into justice for all.
If Trump is guilty, fine. I just have a hard time giving MSNBC and the other corporate media any credibility after blatant lie after blatant lie, with no retraction or correction, again and again. I’m not holding my breath.
If MSNBC says it I believe the opposite. It’s proven to be a very reliable policy.

    3. @John Clarke no I was using the line from the declaration of independence . We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal. From which I would imply and it’s only my own personal opinion. That it is the government mandate to protect the life, liberty and provide to the greatest extent possible. A safe and livable community for all. And not just that part of the electorate that we see as being on our side. Government for the people and not for just the few or the one.

  3. Must be horrible to go to your office and put up with bully’s that threaten you day in and day out.

    1. Imagine how Jews feel. AOC and the Hamas Caucus are inciting anti-Semitic violence across our country. They should be ashamed of themselves.

    2. @Bryan Adding to the previous comment Bryan. By not caring about the way Israel punishes Palestinians, is just a way to show those people that no one except Hamas cares about them. Just because you accept the human rights violations that Israel has been doing, you are saying that no one else except Hamas is willing to help Palestinians and fight for their right to live. So, in fact your hatred of people like AOC is increasing the power of Hamas. Just because someone is Jewish, does not mean they can act like Hitler.

    3. It’s also horrible for David Dorn’s widow, the victim of a real, nationwide insurrection.

    1. Why would you be with AOC and the Hamas Caucus? Inciting anti-Semitic violence isn’t something most people support.

    2. @Bryan you sound very uneducated. the Israeli government isn’t the Jewish people. it’s just one corrupt leader, trying to hold on to power.

  4. Would you be over it if you had to go to work everyday with some of the same people that knowingly helped to put it together?

  5. 👍🏽👍🏽⚖️⚖️📜💯we the oeoy can stand up for what’s right not for what’s wrong

    1. @Joboygbp Edwards Now explain how AOC, who has no legal authority of any kind in New York, somehow magically prevented Amazon from moving there. Next, let’s see you explain how AOC won four landslide victories in a row. Apparently, NY’ers are not angry with her at all. Maybe you should just shut up and run away, before you get destroyed.

    2. @Tessmage Tessera You want me to school you? What will you pay me for doing your research for you? Will it change your mind about AOC if I do? I don’t think so.

  6. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you’ll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.

  8. Speaking of Latinx history, this recent book is a wealth of information that I never was taught about in school, and neglected as I studied other areas of history independently as an adult. Highly recommended:

“El Norte: The Epic and Forgotten Story of Hispanic North America”
    by Carrie Gibson

    1. Since your comment promotes reading and education you might want to lose the pretentious and gtamaticly incorrect word ” latinx ” it’s either Latin, latino or Latina , no X

  9. I really appreciate these two women, you got to hold your heads up and keep moving forward and let God lead use through the storm’s that keep on raging in your lives and ask God for guidance through the storm’s from our adversaries.
