    1. “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:38-39

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:5-6

  1. I live on the southeast coast of Florida and based on the almost constant erosion from storms, etc., if this was buried under only 5 feet of sand, how did no one notice this before?

    1. @Faith & Freedom because we want to hear about an old sailing ship that’s part of the country’s history being unearthed. Because it’s a neat story. You…. I don’t know what you’re expecting to see….

    2. @Bean Season People think fossils were planted in rocks by Satan. It’s funny, but not surprising. Slightly depressing.

    3. People will barely notice which way a door swings when they walk into a building… people not noticing this is not all that surprising…

  2. Have you considered Florida’s longtime nautical history? It is going to be exciting to find out what ship it is. It should not be suprizing that a ship or two can be found..

    1. @Faith & Freedom is your beef because climate change wasn’t discussed? I’m not denying that, and the rest of this thread can speak for itself. It’s not like anyone denied it could be the factor. No need to find fault so quickly!
      .Don’t jump so quick dude.

    2. @Laura Walker This may well be but, Florida was not under British control then. Until Andrew Jackson took control of Florida for The United States, Florida was partially under French, Danish (briefly), and Spanish control. This is why dating of the vessel is so cruel shul. As all of these nations traded in Florida and the Caribbean back then.

    4. @Follower of Jesus Christ I don’t see anything in there about a boat, so I’m not sure how this relates to the story whatsoever

    1. Sounds like you need to be down here working on this project, they could probably use your level of “expertise”,if it wouldn’t be beneath someone with your skill level – that is.

  3. It’s a symbolic/prophetic discovery, alluding to the shipwreck caused by a Florida resident known as the orange creature of the MaraLagoon that resulted in the sinking of the USA.

  4. What a fantastic accidental discovery thanks to two Hurricanes. Really interesting how the ship is handling. Never knew the sand will preserve the wreck.
    Love stories about old shipwrecks.

    1. Long term investment is the best now. I invested $6,500 in March last year with Mrs Georgette and I top up my trade with $500 every week. Now I’m having over $147,000 on my dashboard. Toping up your trade is really important

    3. Repent. Believe in Jesus. John 3:16 KJV – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Luke 13:3 KJV – I tell you nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
John 3:3 KJV – “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

  5. My goodness, the interviewer really was throwing in some weirdly random comments as the archaeologist described letting it remain buried.

But five feet of sand in one storm? That sounds. like some serious coastal erosion.

    2. I think the interviewer was hoping to hear that they were going to turn it into an exhibit at a museum or something on par with the “Steamboat Arabia” or the Titanic. The thing is, in neither of those cases did they display the entire ship. It was planned to get the full ship for the Arabia museum, but they ultimately only got the last 1/3 of the ship out. They built purpose built refrigerators for the artifacts (something they could only do because they were on the commercial fridge business). They’re STILL preserving everything they found. The shipwreck in the segment isn’t going to be near as extensive due to the location (the Arabia sank into the mud and was not salvaged in the past the way this one likely was).

  6. Awesome! Severe weather and the droughts have unearthed so many historic things that were not known for before.

  7. Sympathies to all the people through all the years who walked over this shipwreck with their treasure wands and found nothing.

    1. People aren’t gonna tell of their finds, like why would I let my wife take a ride on the back of your motorcycle…..😂

  8. Hey Fredricka – yes, it’s this tiny little obscure place hardly anyone has ever heard of, “Along Florida’s Atlantic coast”, called DAYTONA BEACH…

  9. I love when shipwrecks and other things from years and years ago, are discovered. I’m glad we have people in the world that know how to date the discoveries. Fascinating!

  10. In Mainz, Germany, there is a (free entrance!) museum which features 3 Roman boats/ships that went down in the Rhein around the time of Christ. They were discovered in the 70’s (I think) when there was to be a new Hilton Hotel built. Construction had to halt. It’s fascinating to visit!

  11. Interesting! And I appreciate the guy’s reasonable approach to recording the ship’s structure without removing it!
