Growing up in BC and watching this I thought to myself… I wonder if this is my accent.
See I live in Ontario and have never personally heard anybody talk like this. I’m 39 years old. Serious question is this every Province but Ontario? Cuz I see it on TV all the time

In the USA each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other thunderstorm-related hazard. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water. The next highest percentage of flood-related deaths is due to walking into or near flood waters. So he did the right thing – Turn Around Don’t Drown®. It’s a public information campaign in the USA & should be extended to Canada.

I am truly surprised that houses being built in the flood plane are still being built the same way as the houses on high grounds.
This flood was due to come and it was known since years ago.
And yet… no proactive action or innovative building was undertaken.
When are we going to start thinking?

Ask b.c. Government why they won’t use cellphone alerts? They say it’s so you won’t panic! Do you think drowning would make you panic more?
Nice dog. I would have immediately got the boat ready when the road started flooding andit was still light out…that’s just me. Glad you guys are safe, sorry for your loss.
