It isn’t a matter of lefties winning and righties losing. It’s a matter of justice being victorious over tyranny. Tyranny always means that we all lose. Remember that the world is what you make it, so celebrate life and love, never death and hate.

  2. It’s time we move America in the direction of facts and science and not false conspiracy theories, assumptions and racial prejudice. ACCOUNTABILITY is where America needs to go!

  3. One conviction won’t change a system we need to see multiple convictions. We need to send a message to law enforcement that just because you have a badge does not give you a license to get a way with murdering civilians

    • How about instead of multiple convictions, how about no more killings of unarmed people? Or no more traffic stops that end in murder? Maybe the Chauvin type cops will think twice, or better yet, quit.

    • Yes, this is a step at least

    • This may set a legal precedent for police accountability. Let’s hope so because right now, the police are among the most dangerous group on the streets that benefit from the best legal protections

  4. This is one data point. We need to see a few more cases like this before we can call it a change. But, it’s a start

A Tribute in Memory of Mr. George Floyd

Don’t close the door please let the light shine in.
Whispering sounds that echo off the walls.
Straps laced too tightly no room for me to move.
    A blinding glance confuses me.

Words can’t express the pain of false bravado.
Piercing stares from the tormented few.
    All sides suffering
Can’t take this life no more.
Nothing to chance for a man to break free.

I only need one eye to be open.
One ear to listen to what I’m trying to say.
Just take a moment to come inside and stand with me.
    Everyday’s a nightmare
I need someone to come save me.

As I lay distressed pleading please help me mama.
I see no beacon my life’s growing dim.
Robbed of tomorrow can’t help those who were chosen.
It’s up to you where we go from here.

If I could rise I’d speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
There will be no tomorrow if we don’t unite to be free.

The violence that follows will only fuel their hate.
Take the path that carries your voice of change.
Let’s lay to rest and and put an end to this shame.
Be the hope your children need you to be.

If I could rise I’d speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
Everyday’s a nightmare I need someone to come stand for me.

There will be no tomorrow if we don’t unite to be free.

Rest in Peace Mr. George Floyd

  7. If True JUSTICE is to become the norm then verdicts like today must be more consistent to show those in law enforcement that choose to do INJUSTICES against the Black community and all communities across America to think twice and maybe three times before they commit these unacceptable crimes.

Lol as the city and officials who approved his antics get off scuff free.

    • @William Springer Great point !!! Which tells us it’s not just bad cops who are guilty but also the very people that hire them.

  8. ✊🏽✊💁🏼‍♀️yessss Chauvin Guilty on all charges! continue to fight for justice against rotten policing!

  9. I can still see in my mind the defiant look on chauvin’s face as he slowly killed George Floyd . It said I can get away with anything when I have this uniform on. Will he was wrong. THANK GOD

    • I felt like he looked SO old when hearing the verdict – compared to how full of life and youth he looked as he killed a man in plain sight.

    • To think…all he had to do was remove his knee from Floyds neck. He would have been completely in the clear.

  10. Hope this helps the Floyd family start to heal and the community feels some relief.

LOL, they got 27 million dollars before the trial ever began and a basketball player bought them a new home. I am sure their grieving is a lot better As for the communirty
lets see if the looters still plan on looting to celebrate LOl

    • And when he walks on his appeal. Besure to be confrontational in showing Maxine Waters how you feel because of her words that made his appeal possible

Did y’all see his eyes he was working on his eyes like Gloria Swanson from those old silent pictures. 😂 lol

  15. In my country we only have either a conviction or an acquittal for a trial.
We don’t even have a word for “mistrial” in Dutch. It just does not exist.
This jury system might have worked this time, and I’m glad for that, but it is outdated.

  16. Watching the trial, what really got to me was the idea of George Floyd trying to lift his chest to make room to breathe with his face, shoulder & knuckles, but Chauvin used the knuckle pressure submission technique that my cop ex husband used to use on me to prevent Floyd making room for breathing. That’s when I knew what kind of cop Chauvin was & that he knew he was killing Floyd.

    • I am sorry that you experienced that- if that is how he treated you – a loved one.
I can only imagine how he dealt with the public – male or female.
I doubt that he would have any empathy for women in DV crisis as well.
Thank God that you were able to get away.
      Take care and stay safe.🌺🌺🌺🇦🇺

If we ever learn the lesson am I my brother’s keeper (yes we are) It’s unfortunate that this lesson will never take root in our hearts be cause all most of us only see color. Thank you 2 the jury who chose to believe their eyes.👀
