True. I’m a progressive living in California. We’re nice and warm, we have plenty of electricity and we don;t vote for Republicans.
I have a lot of respect for how politicians and senior corporate people in Japan approach such failings. They acknowledge that they f’ed up, don’t seek to flail about, pointing figures or trying to deflect the facts. They resign and/or double down on correcting the problem ASAP and strive to prevent a repeat.
Personal responsibility is big in Japan. We pay lip service in America, but Americans are always ready to trip their best friend to escape the chasing lion.

When customers have to get bank loans to pay their monthly utility bills there is corruption in the highest levels no one has ever seen before. I seen that picture a customer posted of his utility bill and he owed over $1,000 for 2 weeks usage on his power bill. Time for Regulation and handcuffs somewhere in Texas.
