Lawrence: Dem Healthcare Plans Exist In 'Fantasy' In Which McConnell Is Not Majority Leader | MSNBC

  1. Theres a pretty chill yet determined brother running against #MoscowMitch. Maybe he’ll give that rat the AOC treatment.

    1. We can only hope. Moscow Mitch has been a cancer of American legislation since he became leader. Trump is a big ugly gross pimple that we all can see, but Moscow Mitch is slowly killing American from the shadows

  2. It’s quite admirable that Mitch has worked so hard to push through the lower drug price, election security, gun safety, and healthcare bills. All in the name of helping the Americans who put him in office.
Wait, what’s that now? He hasn’t done any of those things and is letting those problems go unsolved? πŸ€”
That doesn’t sound like the republican party I know! πŸ˜„πŸ˜†πŸ€£

  3. The oracles of the oligarchs have spoken: “Thou shall not have any idols before my golden wee-wee.” Media is in the can for “anybody but Bernie” again.

    1. The way the districts are currently drawn, and given which states are having elections for representatives, makes it very unlikely.

    2. @calvin no one is saying that they cant, he’s saying realistically and pragmaticly dont just assume you will. I want to here the plan for the worst case senario not the fantasy path.

    3. You guys dont get it. As long as there’s a fillibuster, NOTHING is getting thru. Obama had to do a once a year sneaky maneuver to get the aca and he had 59 dems in the Senate. 414 house bills died in the Senate in Obama’s first 2 years, the only 2 where he had majorities. Look it up.

  4. We all know we must vote out the
Corrupt Mitch and his GOP to have
a working government. Eyes Open America the people deserve more
    than we are getting.

  5. Lawrence has lost it. You fight for M4A , AS A country, until it is passed. Mitch might stop it, not having 60 might stop it, but you continue the fight. This is not an idea that goes away in the absence of Sanders. This is going to happen.
But not if you don’t fight.
O’Donnell disappoints me. He has become a manufacturer of consent, not a journalist.
The facts are, no one will stop fighting for M4A that supports it under Sanders, until it gets passed.

    1. No hes realistic. Over 200 bills passed by the house on a bipartisan (not all) basis not even mentioned in the senate. If mcconnell is still there these ideals and dreams are just that. No one said stop fighting, people are saying acknowledge reality.

  6. 1. China was mentioned.
    2. Hard to discuss foreign policy when certain candidates don’t even know the neighboring President
    3. If they are to discuss only what Mitch will agree to, let’s just all shut the lights off and go home.

    What a terrible analysis.

  7. If we have learned anything it’s that the Democrats need to control Congress if anything is going to get done. Stranglehold Mitch needs to go.

  8. Good call, Lawrence O’Donnell! People vastly underestimate how much Moscow Mitch McConnell hates the American people .

  9. STF, Lawrence. You were once greatly respected, but these days you’re becoming a senile old coot.
MFA may not be able to pass THIS CURRENT Senate, but no bill can, thanks to the traitor Moscow Mitch. Bernie will set the benchmark for the future. He will set the GOAL, and change the overall tone / thinking both in Washington DC and in the country as a whole.Β  Then when Republican senators get kicked out en masse in the next Senate election,Β  real progress will be viable. Β  Millions of Americans are suffering RIGHT NOW. We don’t need some wishy-washy middle-of -the-road candidate, who want to change slowly. Β
And the money is obviously there! Β  Americans will simply pay a little more in taxes,Β  and then save a FORTUNE on healthcare / insurance costs. Health care isn’t free,Β  we will still be paying for it,Β  just with government control over costs and corruption. Β  I mean,Β  DUH.
