It’s not just people of color. It is also people who are poor. It is people who have less of an education. It is people of color thinking that because someone is “white” they have grown up privileged. This is not true. If you don’t have money, if you don’t have an education, if you have not grown up in a powerful home you have to struggle and hide. It is worse for women. They get exposed and have to put up with sexual incidents.
