NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover captured footage of Phobos, one of Mars' two moons, crossing the face of the sun.

Footage of Phobos crossing the face of the sun was captured by NASA's Perseverance Mars rover.

Phobos is one of Mars's two moons. The solar eclipse lasted a little over 40 seconds, according to NASA. It was captured on Perseverance's Mastcam-Z camera.

NASA says "these observations can help scientists better understand the moon's orbit."
