    1. Clearly Mcdonalds is not a career, but there needs to be some connection to average household income and cost of housing. Because of so much external demand to the system, prices are out of whack. Another problem is the exploitation of the TFW program by fast food (look up the Subway kickback scandal) to suppress wages. Also applies to agriculture.

  1. Slow down immigration, every new person being brought in doesn’t help, per capita we take in more immigrants than the USA and every new person just drives the price of everything up, we don’t need more people in this country, I strongly disagree with the left’s POV on immigration, we don’t have the economy to support more people!!

  2. This doesn’t even take into account the affordability of accessible rentals. Disabled Canadians, like myself, have an impossible task of finding affordable accessible housing. When you couple that with the unemployment rate of the disabled being 4x higher than the national average, we’ve been set up to fail right from the beginning.

  3. It’s basic economics
    Minimum wage=minimum living standard

    What’s so difficult to comprehend?

    1. Croatian Sensation nothing is difficult to understand about that. It’s a question of how many minimum wage jobs are there, who is working them, etc.

  4. Funny isn’t it, the illegal gimmiegrants get a hotel room, food, money and a free ticket to Canada. Plus all the benefits once they become Canadians. And if they are a family they get a nice fat 50 thousand dollar cheque , non repayable from Ottawa.

  5. lmao im making more than $22 an hour and im still living with my parents because everything is expensive

    1. I feel your pain I make about the same and I feel like I’m not getting anywhere and I can’t wait to leave BC.

  6. Leave Canada and then just walk across the border at Roxam Road. You will have free room and board in a hotel. You will also be given welfare all courtesy of hard working Canadians.

  7. Minimum wage earners cannot pay rent, yet illegal immigrants are living in hotels in T.O. on the taxpayers dime. Thanks you a*hole in Ottawa.
