NASA revealed a new simulation habitat to prepare for future missions to Mars and better understand the impacts of long isolation on human health.

On Tuesday, NASA allowed members of the media to tour the 1,700-square-foot home dubbed Mars Dune Alpha – a 3D-printed facility which includes two bathrooms, an airlock that leads to a reconstruction of the “outdoor” Martian environment, a vertical farm to grow food, a medical care room, a communal lounge area and several workstations.
