@GoT fan 2320 . . . I think you forgot John Mitchell under Richard Nixon. He went to jail for multiple crimes committed during the Watergate scandal – he was a convicted felon and served 19 months in a federal prision. Then, in 1988 he died of a heart attack and was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, based on his World War II Naval service and his cabinet post of Attorney General. Go figure.

J Turner and all very predictable! Clinton warned this would happen and everyone thought she was exaggerating, she understated the position if anything. Trump is a criminal, and it was obvious from day one. America needs to not only get rid of Trump, but then have a thorough review of all rules and procedures surrounding all appointments, the DOJ and the role of the Attorney General. Inspectors General need to be appointed by the Congress and for ten year terms, only removable for gross misconduct, not the whim of a man who is under investigation. Congress needs to review its powers of summons and oversight, and radically improve both. Contempt of Congress needs to become a real thing with heavy penalties.
Trump has shown the weakness of the American system of government. The weakness being it is premised on the concept that those that serve as president, and in government, are fundamentally decent and believe in the constitution, the whole system of federal government, and that they have ethics and morals. Trump has shown what happens when a wholly dishonest, unethical, immoral and corrupt narcissist grabs the levers of government. It should cause all thinking Americans to reflect, fear, and want reform of the system.

William Marick, let’s see Biden was instrumental in Obama’s recovery effort for the worst economic crisis up until now. He has a good relationship with out allies and was involved with Obama’s healthcare reform and was familiar with the pandemic response unit and plan. Trump caused the largest point drop in Wall Street history, the highest unemployment numbers on record, the largest drop in GDP in history, and a pandemic response that has 5 million infected with the coronavirus, 160,000 deaths, and the largest one term increase in the national debt. I can’t wait for the debates!
