He did not declassify any documents and there is no evidence of his signatures or stamps on them to make it official, and it’s a strict process that involves other departments as well as a president to declassify documents. And let’s not forget that trump claimed the FBI had planted them, before he claimed he declassified them. 2. He was asked for them months ago and trump gave up 15 boxes and said he had no more documents. After cross checking time and date stamps they contacted trump for the rest of the documents. Trump ignored the FBI for months and they had enough and got a warrant to go get them. Everything that was on the warrant they found. Trump lied when he said he didn’t have anymore, he lied when he said he was cooperating with the FBI (which is why they got a search warrant, because he lied and then ignored them). 3. NO PRESIDENT has ever taken classified top secret documents home. This is another lie that was easily proved. Don’t you know by now that Fox News hosts are long time friends of trump and will never say anything bad about trump. Is it not embarrassing to you that you know only what conservative outlets tell you? I’ll bet you don’t even know that trump did an interview and said “if I run for president I’ll have to run as a Republican because republicans are so stupid they’ll believe anything you tell them on Fox News”. Those were trumps actual words. Or in his book he stated that “if you tell a lie enough times people will believe it”. He’s been this con man his whole life. Why do you think he said everyone else is fake news? Because when real news is showing you proof of his lies through video and first hand people dealing with him, he has better control over what he wants you to see. Hell, you probably don’t even know that Fox News is registered as an entertainment network….not real news. Neither is news max and quite a few others. Their hosts have been taken to court so many times and they always claim “ we’re not real news, we’re entertainment and Tucker Carlson and his lawyer used that excuse months ago when his lawyer told the judge that “no sane person would believe what tucker is saying because it’s just an entertainment show”, and tucker got away with it. If you people for just once would check out what trump is telling you not to watch you’d see a huge difference in what’s really going on because real news stations have to have facts and proof. Trump has scammed hundreds of millions of dollars of his followers. When he was president for 4 years we got no infrastructure, no health care, a small portion of the wall that cost billions of dollars and he made plenty. He charged his secret service guys triple to stay at Maralago (while protecting him) our tax dollars went directly into his pocket. $20 million a piece for “samples of the wall” and he had 8 samples made (our tax dollars again) then hires his people to make them. Trump has a life long history of scamming and lying and people Like you fall for it and repeat the lies for him. Try checking into his history before you become an enemy of your own country just for him.

I think the whole reason he had those documents was in case he got charged for anything else. He was gonna hop on a plane fly to Saudi Arabia or Russia and give them nuclear secrets in exchange for asylum.

@JaysSavvy We are talking about declassifying docs. A sitting Prez can declassify. An ex-Prez cannot. There is a process to declassification for a sitting Prez, he can’t just wave his hand and declare them declassified.
The ramifications if he could? Any one of us could then file a FOIA request and obtain those docs since they are declassified.
