@Andrew Blanchard Yeah, I remember very clearly. The media was blasting Trump for closing the borders. Democrats were incredulous, golfing, laughing, fine dining. After Trump closed the borders Pelosi was touring SF’s Chinatown saying, “That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here,… The city is on top of the situation.” I wish YOU were there Dec 3. YOU could have told the media and Democrats, Fauci and Trump what a COVID was and what YOU would do better.
YOU could have told Trump not to waste taxpayer money sending a manned and ready hospital ship to New York Harbor because YOU know your buddy Cuomo says, “everything is fine here. The state is on top of the situation.” Send those COVID patients to share rooms with the elderly, sick and infirmed. YOU should get an autographed copy of Cuomo’s best seller book. i don’t really care to discuss the frequency of other news stories. typically, articles are made when there are developments in a story. for Cuomo, the news reported new allegations and new developments. for kavanaugh, they did the same, but that was a much more public event, so there were many breaking news articles made. simple.
@shoobopper I may not have used an exacting type of terminology, but the fact remains the same: MSM has proven to have much more scorn for one political side than the other. Sparse reporting on what’s been going on with Cuomo is one of the best examples of this in recent years. For each mention of these allegations, how many stories were there from these same sources that praised him?

@Piccalilli Pit its funny you bring that up, I was talking to a friend about what makes the best leader archetype, and we both agreed the reluctant but steadfast leader is… Like Rick from walking dead for an example. And then he brought up that (I think) the greeks had a lottery system for elections. I’m imagining drawing a lot from a hat kinda thing.
But I want to take it a step further. What about a system where you had ambitious political candidates, but to elect said candidate you took a random say, 100k citizens(the numbers are arbitrary), who were the representation of the vote. And they are the ones who cast for the presidential election.
