Most of the attention from the West has focused on the Taliban's draconian social restrictions on women, girls and minorities, said Vali Nasr, a professor of Middle East Studies at Johns Hopkins, after the Taliban barred girls from attending school after age 12 and eliminated many women's personal freedoms.

    1. We did a way better job then every other empire that tried and failed. There for 2 decades and had a firm grasp on the country, that’s actually quite impressive the USA can go into a country of 40 million and totally dominate it for an entire generation while still going about our normal global spanning buisness… Not embarrasing at all actually.. Kabul itself can barely control the surrounding region if at all.. the entire country is just a massive group of tribes that come and go as they please and do whatever the heck they want including crossng the border into other countries multiple times a day and growing drug crops without any sort of government intervention. Afghan mountains have made this region ungovernable for centuries. Best to leave them alone to be poor, it’s what they want and will litterally waste entire generations of men throwing them into the fray to preserve their way of life. Glad we’re out. Let them have the GDP of Dollar Tree, not our problem anymore.

    2. @Randy Moore yes, but are you seriously considering defending the way in which the withdrawal was done? Because therein lies what we’re actually criticizing

  1. Those people don’t get it..Never WILL…Us taking off like that and leaving that kind of hardware there seems to point to the glaring reality WE didn’t get it either…A bunch of gunmen go thru the afghan army about 5 miles an hour faster than the NVA went thru the ARVN…..Apparently our track record of backing the wrong teams remains unblemished..

  2. Happy birthday, bad guys. You can thank our president for your early birthday presents. Our salamander-in-chief isn’t backing America, and the proof is in your hands.

    1. Usually, I don’t support Q anon content, but this is an exception. Any Q-anon discourse about this event is welcome in my book. Any way that our illustrious leader can be shat on is music to my ears.

  3. The Taliban were placed into power through a deal with the compliance of the traitorous Ghani regime. It was and is a catastrophe for the people of Afghanistan.
