    All it took was a corrupt Supreme Court chief justice (John Roberts) to undo a 100 years of struggle. The Voting Rights Act must be restored.

    • Couldn’t agree more. John Roberts has done as much to undermine American democracy as Rupert Murdoch, imo. Apart from gutting the Voting Rights Act, the disastrous Citizens United decision happened on his watch, and in 2019 in Rucho v. Common Cause, he argued that federal courts could not rule on cases of gerrymandering. ” Roberts has voted consistently to undermine Voting Rights laws, emasculating even measures enacted by huge Congressional majorities ” – npr. 22/3/2019. To think that the Chief Justice of the country does not uphold one man, one vote! What happened to the belief that all men are created equal?

And USA promotes Democracy in other Countries? It always is. 😣 I wish everyone could just stick to the written, non-fiction, legally binding word for their smarts. There is no hope.

  10. I have never heard such hyperbole in my life. You have the right to vote as a citizen. That requires proof. A general requirement that you are who you say you are makes sense especially when voting. Kind of like having a background check to buy a gun. It makes sense.
