Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., stood up from her seat in the back of the House chamber to heckle President Joe Biden after he said during his State of the Union address Tuesday that “some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset” while discussing the need to raise the debt ceiling in order to avoid a US default.

“Liar!” she said. Other lawmakers in the chamber booed him. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, seated behind Biden, shook his head in disapproval.

The president leaned over the podium and began to go off script. "Anybody who doubts it, contact my office," Biden said. "I'll give you a copy of the proposal."

  1. Thats their game, they argue amongst themselves and the American people continue to feel the pain. While they collect their 6 figure salaries doing absolutely nothing. The worst part is the people fall for it, they continue divide themselves by blindly stickling to their political party

    1. Fr people have made it a game of red vs blue and instead of voting based on legislative ideas we bandwagon on one side or another in a grand tomato throwing contest. Imagine if politicians spent half the effort they do staying rich and defacing their opposition on actually benefiting the American public.

    2. @Localsavage21
I with you and I imagine a lot of other Americans are too. We desperately need to get these clowns 🤡 out of office!!!

    3. Now now…we all know the money they make “legally” via their salaries pales in comparison to the funding they get from their superpac donors and the benefits they get investing in companies whose futures they control through the legislative process they manipulate. Funny how most honest investors can yield about 30% returns on their invest while the majority of politicians are in the neighborhood of 70+%

    4. I do well, and it’s because of my education. Speak for yourself, I know A LOT of people doing well. My friends in the trade industries are turning down jobs left and right, they just don’t have the time. As an HR consultant, business is booming, and businesses are hiring.

    5. @Vivina Morrison WW2 vets wouldn’t be disappointed in America, they’d be disappointed in how stupid its people have become, that’s for sure. They’d just be too polite to say it.

  2. let me ask you does the state of our country feel like its the best its ever been? because thats what the president was saying last night.

    1. That’s just the Dixie Democrats the Republicans hate them and think Biden is on China’s payroll theirs a hearing on it today.
Remember how the DNC was going to do single payer healthcare then they won control of the house, the senate, the Whitehouse and the media monopoly and used it to create record breaking inflation, unemployment, homelessness and illegal immigration…

  3. Rick Scott: “Yes, I put out a plan of ideas, and I don’t regret it one bit. Yes, one of them suggested sunsetting laws after five years — noting that if a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again.”

Washington Post Opinion: “[Rick] Scott’s plan would also sunset — eliminate — all federal legislation over five years, under the (risky) assumption that worthy laws would be reenacted. That could mean an end to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, everything else mentioned above — and potentially more.”

    1. Only if they include a sunset of ALL THEIR benefits as well as legislators…retirement, pension, health, including those free martinis they gave themselves during the Trump presidency! Bunch of hypocrites!!! How about WE decide to continue THEIR benefits IF they don’t default on our debt and crash the economy!!! They want to sunset OUR benefits?!!!
      Pffftt! I don’t think so!

  4. Leave Medicare and Medicaid and social security and disability alone or you’re going to end up with more homeless people is that what you want President Biden

    1. It’s not both parties. The Dixie Democrats controlled the house, the senate, the Whitehouse and the media monopoly for the last 2 years. You got record breaking inflation, unemployment, homelessness and illegal immigration. He also armed NeoNazis to start WW3.

      This isn’t a both parties problem….

    1. Okay. 25 billion to help ukraine fight Russia.
Versus over 800 billion for our own military.
Now take a look at those two numbers and see what looks more unreasonable.

  5. Taxes went up for many low middle class workers under this President…and we are no rich by any means.
Inflation is horrible and hurts especially lower income earners…
Maybe is just me going in stores and see that huge bill ar register….
My income actually went down while my spending is huge.

    1. Um bidens tax plan didn’t affect your taxes at all. That would be trumps tax plan. This was known for awhile what was going to happen. Before biden even ran for office it was known that lower income families were going to have their taxes raised by 2022 under the trump tax plan. Idk where you have been.

    2. @Romstar Transportation because the republicans won’t vote in his new tax laws because they go after corporations and the rich and republicans won’t do that.

    3. @Jarrad Bruessel
Always a new excuse…Democrats are so perfect 😂😂😂😂
Most of the countries on this planet were Socialists are in control, life is so controlled and limited future….rules over rules, taxes over taxes….that is the reality.

  6. 😂😂😂 So reacting to the President tells egregious lies about them is now called “heckling”? 🙄

    1. Except he wasn’t lying. He said there are some Republicans calling for social security to be cut. Which is true. They just didn’t like being called out.

  7. Good. He’s against everything that makes America a beacon of hope. There aren’t enough “thumbs down” to express the disdain sensible people have for his rhetoric.

  8. You could tell their a huge divide when people from both sides are calling you out to your face to fix the situation.

  9. Imagine being a republican going boo but signed off on that proposal themselves😂😂 .. just ask for a copy of what they wanted and see who wants to cut off medicaid and Social Security benefits
You know who his talking about if you read it

  10. I mean he’s straight up lying. And he then had to backtrack to “its being proposed by individuals”

You expect them to just let him lie like that?
