President Biden vows to ‘take action’ against Saudi Arabia | USA TODAY

President Joe Biden said the U.S. "will take action" on arms sales to Saudi Arabia after oil production cut.

Biden is consulting with Congress on whether to take action against Saudi Arabia. The administration argues the Saudi Arabia-led oil cartel’s cut in production will help drive up the cost of gas, boosting Russia’s oil revenue just as the United States and its allies are trying to reduce Russia’s oil profits. Rising pump prices could also hurt Democrats in next month’s midterm elections.

Lawmakers have proposed blocking any future arms sales to the Saudis as well as allowing the Justice Department to use antitrust laws to challenge the OPEC+ countries and their state-owned oil companies. While the security strategy doesn't mention Saudi Arabia specifically, in the section on the Middle East, the administration encourages "energy producers to use their resources to stabilize global energy markets, while also preparing for a clean energy future and protecting American consumers."

  1. What action are you really going to take when we’re dependent on Saudi oil🤦🏾‍♀️ go ahead Joe make America great again with $10 a gallon gas why don’t you.

  2. Weird how if we would just have did our best to be independent of anyone or anything…. We wouldn’t threaten others for our stupidity…..

    1. Again to you we have protected the saudi,s for 50 plus years there are alot of countries over the that would jump in a heart beat if we stop protecting them, theybwould go fast and hard they need us as
much if not more then we need them.

  3. This is an embarrassment, RICH MEN MAKE QUARRELS AND ITS THE CITIZENS WHO GET TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES, DISGRACEFUL

  4. Take action on our own homeless, poverty and illegal immigration problems instead of sending money to Ukraine that we need here.

  5. The Dollar buying power around the World has to do with “Petrol Dollar” Saudi was the reason why US Dollar became the Currency of Oil. As A result, countries around the World are buying Dollar in order to buy Oil. This increase demand for US dollar, which help the buying power. Sanction Saudi, and other OPEC countries could backfired in negative way for US Dollar. As I said, imagine OPEC choose to use Yuan as a currency of Oil. US dollar could crash big time. Lets hope it doesnt happen.

  6. I’m sure the Saudis have just two words for Potato Joe. And As soon as they stop laughing, they will let us know what those words are.

  7. I was beginning to wonder if I would be alive to witness the start of another world war. Glad I can see it unfold 😊
