President Joe Biden speaks following Texas elementary school shooting

A gunman killed 15 people – 14 of them children – at a Texas elementary school Tuesday, authorities said, marking the deadliest school shooting in the state's history.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the 18-year-old shooter walked into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde around noon Central time and opened fire with a handgun. The shooter was killed by responding police, Abbott said.

  1. How sincere reading from a teleprompter!! what a dog and pony show!! any other president would have spoke from the heart what a sin!!! God bless those kids who lost their lives

  2. Why don’t we have armed guards and metal detectors at every entrance of these schools just like we have at court houses! and government buildings.
Its almost as if they don’t care if they can use it as a chance to stop lawful citizens from protecting themself.

    1. THEY have armed guards and metal detectors at every entrance of at court houses! and government building CLOWN!

  3. I’m so sorry for the parents that didn’t have their babies come home tonight because they died at school. My heart is sick over this!

  4. So sad what happen today, our prayers with all who suffer the lost of a loved one in this horrible tragedy. We all know that the problem is not the guns, it is the souls that walk away from God. It is not sensible to use this time to promote political agendas (like Gun control, etc), the time should be used to confort these families and reflect on what we are not doing to prevent that a young person like the shooter decide to take the life of innocent people.

    1. @Reg Cribb When somebody says somebody else needs to grow the hell up, it usually sounds like they need to grow up. Bad way to make a point. I hope mental health is addressed to help lower violent crimes across the board than to play tug of war over guns for an eternity.

    2. You can’t save a lost soul that doesn’t know itself that it is lost. To conclude: guns are the most important problem in USA right now.

  5. He could’ve offered his condolences and unite the country but it only took him 3 mins to go right into preaching his gun control agenda. I really can’t stand this guy.

  6. How do we know this gun was even legal? He said “allot we don’t know” then goes on a political rant

  7. We can’t even take the time to morn over the loss of these innocent people without this turning into a political rant about gun laws. Crooked politicians don’t care about people, only votes and power 😞

    1. They do care Banning guns will save lives and put a stop to this whats happening in your country.
Some say the gun isn’t dangerous but the shooter is, but there won’t be any shooter if there are no guns.

  8. He’s right! People like you are missing the message, wake up and listen or it will keep happening.

  9. This is the freedom of the gunman, he has the freedom to bear a gun and to kill, because this is America, the land of freedom.

  10. Every time something like this happens I ask myself why? Why couldn’t it have been joe biden instead.

  11. We need to be like Canada with there guns. The U.s need to be strict like Canada with there guns.

  12. Address the mental health crisis and lenient gun laws. It doesn’t take a genius to diagnose what’s wrong with America, especially schools! Mental health personnel/programs should be pro-actively operating in schools and not reactionary after a crisis!

  13. 02:40 What are we going to do exactly? Make it harder to buy new guns when there are already 300MM plus guns in our country? It is mental health not just guns.

  14. We don’t need stronger gun laws, what we need is stronger drug laws. We need to hold responsible the drug cartels who produce the antidepressants and other mind altering prescription drugs that is causing this rise in violence in our land.
