  1. Hong Kong was a British colony that was turned back over to China in the 1990’s by Margret Thatcher due to their 99-years agreement and was turned back over based on the stipulation of the “two-systems one country” stance that China proposed.

Thailand is a country with a long standing monarchy that has been around for 800 years, it was originally call Siam.

The third is Myanmar where it has only transition from military to democratic rule in 2011. The military branch dislikes the lowering of their power/status especially under the US backed Aung San Suu Kyi and has seized control under the premise of election fraud (parroting president Trump when he lost the election).

And this has been your special background update on 2/48 countries and a city in Asia~

    1. @Deborah Freedman Yes, facts & indisputable history = “extreme bias”. Who would have known?

Must be the typical American way judging by your media.

here’s another American media publication for you

“America’s International Relation Schools are Broken”
      from the Foreign Policy.

No wonder America’s own “experts” are the first to trash the USA’s education system.

    2. It’s a way of reporting on Myanmar but attacking China at the same time. Hong Kong rioters are funded by the US national endowment for democracy, NED.

  2. GENE SHARP Myannmar 🌹 those army soldiers have family somewhere. If THEY refuse to enforce, or cause a split in the military. Signs in English to bring in world.

  3. Make sure you are fighting for a TRUE Representative Democracy, without an electoral college, or the failed plurality voting.

    1. very telling that your other comments on CNN since making your account 6 hours ago are anti trump. phoney

  4. We should implement social punishment campaign over Military junta and their followers including police and army’s family members.

    1. who cares? these “democracy fighters”only help those people who protest against China. so the BBC and many media can blame China. and their government can accuse China, they don’t care the people like you since there’s no justice from the UK and USA.

  6. What the interest of USA in these countries and city? Each time they tacking about “demicraty”…

  7. Save Thai people from evil and cruel dictator government for sake of human right and freedom of expression abused an injustice to the people
