I did some digging, and thankfully it’s a bit better than that. He’s facing, under law, between 10 years to life in prison. This doesn’t mean he only gets 10 years. It means the judge is legally not allowed to set his prison time below 10 years. He can, however, be sentenced all the way up to life in prison, so when sentencing comes around in May, the odds are we’ll hear that he’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars, since anything above 30 years means he’ll likely die before release.
