  1. People were saying there would be a Housing cash!! There are companies buying up home to turn owning a home into a business, pricing regular people out of buying a house! There is a shortage of homes and Las Vegas, I haven’t seen the prices go down. Greedy companies are pricing renters out of the ability to find a place to rent!

    1. I have one more payment and my home is paid off. Just the wife and I in a 3,200 sq ft home with 15 rooms. What to do, what to do!

    2. @Niki L My landlord has owned the 5 apartment property for over 40 years and the place still has windows original to the 1964 build. Since essentially no money has been put into upkeep, “cost” and rent should be the same as rent was, when the water heater was replaced – 2004!

  2. When interest was low big real estate companies swooped in scooped them up because they had cash backing once they acquire the apts they raise the rent on tenants it’s called corporate greed

    1. @Steve Stoll but when big corporations buy up complexes and hike rent up $300+ a month is called greed

    2. @Steve Stoll PEs buying up starter homes has been happening since at least the foreclosure crisis in 2008/09.

    3. @TooltheWetSprocket “starter homes” makes no sense. The math doesn’t add up.

Are you saying this is how to enter a Ponzi Scheme?

Explain the math on this one.

    1. I thought people and the market forces would know better than to listen to what Musk has to say at this point 🤷‍♂

  3. If the market is so heavily effected by a tweet then it isn’t based in reality, a home, gallons of gas or milk, etc. are always in demand and you can’t say the price doubled because of “economics”
Why do economy dynamics always favor the rich? The prices never fall when the current crisis is over, not significantly

    1. I agree the market isn’t based in reality. They make money by manipulation of the market. Not by actually building a product. The guys that do this seems to get all the tax breaks also. That profession has no socially redeeming value. They hurt us more then they benefit us.

  4. Somehow I don’t think rich housewives are gonna notice a price hike on their trendy excessively priced excersize bikes, it’s just that they don’t need another one and now they can go to the gym where selfy lighting is better

    1. You see and this is why I love Marxism and communism because people like Elon musk Jeff Bezos bill gates

    2. @Товарищ Иван thank you brother slava russia 🇷🇺 form the usa 🇺🇸 this American stands with Russia.

    1. They’re only bad if you pay attention to the Internet and watch the TV. I rarely do either and my life is awesome

  5. I’m 25 and disabled since the day I was born housing prices going up is not gonna make it easier the idea of my generation owning housing is a pipe dream I live in Arkansas

  6. Any one who retired on SS who worked lower income under 35k a year can’t find anywhere to rent. Min rent in cites is more then $1200 for the minimum size

  7. I talked to an apartment complex. 1 bedroom was 1230 and their monthly income requiring was 3x that. So I would have to have a monthly income of 3,690

    1. You talked to an apartment complex? is that a personal habit of yours? What other buildings do you talk to?

    1. Elon is awkward by nature, so feeling awkward is probably the norm for him. I doubt he even notices it at this point 😋

  8. That is a load of crap! The reason rents are going up is Corporations buying up rentals – houses, apartment buildings and then escalating the rent to make money. Mortgage rates are not that high -look what they were under Reagan 18.5%, now that was high.

  9. Rent keeps skyrocketing BECAUSE INVESTORS AND CORPORATIONS ARE BUYING UP ALL THE HOUSING. Instead of the people owning the houses, it’s the top 10%

  10. CNN cancelling a show called “Reliable Sources” is probably the sweetest, most unironic thing ever.

  11. I long for a time when people don’t get worked up over the words of a celebrity. Might be better if they stop paying attention to them altogether.
