  1. Asking Mr Toobin: Why does ‘intent’ play any role? POTUS is responsible for keeping secret what is secret. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

    1. @LysandersTreason That is factually incorrect. No one person is above any law anywhere. Secondly, he cannot just de-classify any documents, there is a process of things of that nature in order to protect sources and methods. With regards to the current issue he did not de-classify those documents which is a federal felony. He cannot de-classify documents as an ex-president.

    2. @LysandersTreason “POTUS decides what is and isn’t secret, at his sole discretion.’
if he had declassified them they wouldn’t still say classified.

  2. I have a security clearance, and I can assure you the security would not care a whit what my motive was if I mishandled classified materials. There is no such thing as the president declasifying something on a whim without going through a well-established process. There is no wiggle-room here.

    1. @ClockworkGearhead You’ve made me realize I need to be empathetic, compassionate, and supportive to those on “the spectrum”. YOU ARE DOING GREAT BUDDY! YAYYYYYYYY!!

    2. I’m so confused, So Trump doesn’t text and/or send I business emails but tweets like a madman… And instead of encrypting a file and put it on a thumb drive, he decides to print out 15 boxes (Up to 75,000 Pages) of Classified/Top-Secret Documents.

    3. @Michael Harrison – WPMABL Look, it doesn’t have the same journalistic impact as “fifteen boxes,” okay. There’s a story here. (I haven’t decided if its fiction or news, yet.)

    4. @ClockworkGearhead Goodnight Cockwork D’Head, I gotta get some shuteye for tomorrow. Gotta stimulate that economy and pay for your Gov’t cheese, court appointed attorney, and obvious three hot/cot. Have fun watching Hannity/Tucker clips tonight, bro🤙.

  3. If only the “ powers” that be and media were so dedicated in pursuing the crimes that have occurred and continue to occur within our government by sooo many!

    1. @Giordano Bruno yeah, let’s start with all of the Congress people, add them to the list, I’m sure we can talk to them about arresting themselves, that will work out great, I’m sure they won’t censor and silence you to cover their own asses, I’m sure people in power never abuse their power to protect themselves from consequences.

    2. @Mr.Muffen There is no way you can be serious, please provide me with one claim made by the Republican Party based on non bias research. I am looking forward to showing you just how stupid that statement is.

    3. @math science gladly, the 14th amendment for example, Biden’s administration has been flying in illegals countless times into the US, and opening our boarders, you see I do my research, something many liberals fail to do before voting, I was well aware that inflation was going to occur under Biden before he was even president, and that’s why I prepared for such a thing to happen.

  4. Asking the DOJ to do anything is like saying your going to find gold at the end of a rainbow…sure it sounds great and you hope you get lucky but it’s not going to happen

    1. @Nancy Flores A) Trump HAS committed treason, there is so much evidence and so many crimes that it is taking a while to gather the witnesses and assemble all of the charges. Plus, Trump keeps adding to the huge pile of crimes to be investigated/charged/prosecuted. B) You are mistaken, there is plenty of evidence of cooperation and interference in the 2016 and 2020 elections by Russian operatives. Paul Manafort was one, obvious and proven to have fed polling data to the Russians via Konstantin Kilimnik. That investigation is still ongoing, because the justice department is not constrained by the same rules that prevented Mueller from finding the financial connections. Tom Barack, who was indicted a couple of months ago, is one conduit through which foreign money made its way into Trump’s campaign coffers. And, of course, the tax and bank fraud schemes being investigated by the New York prosecutors, because Trump was so arrogant that he never figured anyone would compare his valuations of properties for different purposes (ie taxes and bank loans) to find out his scheme. He never even thought being President would draw enough attention to himself and his business dealings that he would be investigated and prosecuted. The Watergate investigation took two years, and it was a simple burglary and coverup. Trump’s myriad of crimes may take DOJ a while to begin filing on, but it will keep many of the justice department employees busy until their retirement.

    2. @Nancy Flores You are being led to disbelieve your own capability for learning and understanding the truth. The MSM is simply a conduit for information. If you pay attention to which shows are opinion versus straight news, you can get fairly good information much of the time. BTW, despite it’s ownership of like 85% of all local media channels (and don’t think that they forego influencing which news you are given, and how it is presented), FOX is not really mainstream, since they seem to exist on their ability to push stupid conspiracy theories instead of reporting news.

    3. @Blas Chavez No one ever said that they had no evidence of Trump’s campaign having ties to Russia. What Mueller said was that his investigation was prohibited from following any financial trail they might have found. The current investigations have no such constraints, which is how they learned that Trump’s buddy Tom Barrack was illegally funneling foreign money into Trump’s campaign coffers. He was recently indicted. They are still investigating, and much of their investigation will tie in with other illegalities that Trump was committing. You wont have to wait much longer to have some heavy duty reality dumped upon Trump’s head, publicly, so that all can see. You can choose not to believe it, but you will be wrong. Like choosing not to get a vaccination during a pandemic, you would be wrong.

    4. @Nancy Flores If you were capable of seeing the damage that poor leadership ACTUALLY does, you would have realized some time ago that Trump was incompetent. You are simply believing a lot of the bs you are being fed by your right wing media. The economy, a year into Biden? Doing great, almost five times better than Trump’s first year economy. Jobs? Biden’s job numbers top Trump’s. COVID? Biden’s America is doing much better with COVID under Biden than we did under Trump, even with the stressed out hospitals. Perhaps you should look up some of this information FOR YOURSELF, instead of just listening to right wing talking heads telling you what you want to hear.

    5. The DOJ does not necessarily report on or comment on ongoing investigations. For all anyone knows at some point in the near future they may come out with the fact that they have been working with a secret Grand Jury and announce a 35-page list of indictments leveled at Trump. Oh, what a day of celebration that would be!

  5. Archives “..? Find out who is responsible for the “Security” that must be provided to ensure that people can enter or leave this place without permission…What? no camera, no seal, no guard, it’s not serious, but not at all… For Trump it’s a joke…

  6. Why I don’t get is why take boxes of documents away? Why not just shred them? Why not just flush them or eat them or burn them?
And how are they still intact a year+ later? He could have used all this time to shred them. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  7. While, yeah, it’d be GREAT to get an absolute lock on intent, he still broke serous law at a national security level, which at the *VERY* least should mean losing security clearance, which of course bars him from any office implying or requiring it.

  8. Any federal employee no matter what motivation — even to take work home that is classified? They’d be fired and never allowed to work for the federal government again.

  9. “Oh, sorrry, I didn’t mean to take 15 boxes of highly classified presidential documents out of the White House, ‘oops!”
They will try to investigate this 🤣 😐
