    1. @breakshot74, oh, they have already asked for more money, more weapons, more training. It is a racket.

  1. Escorted by someone that when it comes down to really doing his job, he’s no where to be found or hiding.

  2. “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.” Not when these good guys keep running away, even from a question.

    1. @cleanclothes True, no one seems to make the connection to cops being trigger happy, to the fact that anyone they address could be carrying a gun. I can’t even imagine trying to police under those circumstances. It’s a wonder anyone chooses to become a police officer in the US.

    1. @Bob Smith uhhhh… First Amendment rights have been well defined and regulated. If you knew even a little about the US, then you’d know Justice Holmes’ famous “can’t yell ‘fire’ in a movie theater”. Thus why we hope you’re not an American.

    1. “What we need is more money for training. 40% of the city’s budget isn’t enough. If we had 60%, boy, howdy, y’all gonna see some action THEN.”

  3. Oh, the cops won’t talk to you when they do something wrong. Shocker! This is why parents everywhere are telling there kids NOT to call police and to keep quiet when a cop is asking them questions.

    1. @soothsayer That’s if you’re being charged. It’s for your protection in case you accidently say something which makes you look guilty.
They have the same provision in other countries too. It’s not a reflection on the police.
Reading all the comments over time, I’m getting the impression that the American education system is not very good. Americans don’t seem to understand how their own systems work, let alone the rest of the world.

    2. Yeah, parents who deal drugs, possess and sell stolen goods, abuse their own kids do tell their kids not to talk with the police.
I’m pretty sure you have forbidden your kids from having any type of interaction with the police.

    1. @Doc Holiday Yes Trump, I agree! How many times during his weak 2019 and 2020 campaign did he not even know what state or city he was in? Quite a few!

  5. The incompetence and arrogance of these Uvalde TX officials and police has been an absolute disgrace. They clearly care more about protecting each other, than they ever cared about protecting any kids.

    1. It’s the good old boy attitude! It’s gross. The truth will come out. What an absolute narcissistic behavior from the DA! Say something in respect to the families and their children who were murdered! Where are the Governor and his buddies at?!

    2. @Alan G I pray you are not saying those innocent children got what they deserved? But I do understand your point of view.

    3. @Lola Stewart I don’t think the children could possibly be at fault, even the idiot who decided to commit suicide after killing as many as he could. I blame education, the lack of it, and a state who holds guns in higher regard than their own children.

  6. Huh, almost like these people don’t care about law and order, just the power they wield over others.

  7. They weren’t “duped” at all…they knew they were telling lies at that staged press conference because they are complicit in the police response and inaction in my opinion!

  8. Apparently the only way to get these officers to cooperate is a class action lawsuit by the parents of the slain children.

  9. If it weren’t so tragic it would be hilarious. Cops and District Attorneys in the US are never accountable.

  10. I love Shimons reporting! He doesn’t waste any time and finds these people and puts them in the spot to hold them accountable. That’s what ever reporter needs to do. Every day, everywhere until we either get answers or they’re held accountable for their misconduct and major f’ck up.

  11. There is something seriously wrong with this whole situation. This can’t be how our government works for us. A deliberate disconnect. How are we to trust these people?

  12. She gets law enforcement protection from a question about why a school in her jurisdiction couldn’t get law enforcement protection… 🤬

  13. Shimon has been an excellent reporter. Stays well informed, asks the hard hitting questions, presents the news efficiently and professionally. Glad to have media like him giving us the truth.

  14. I feel so bad for the parents that lost their baby’s. I have a 5 and 16 year old girls and I couldn’t imagine the pain they are feeling. Fly high little ones.
