The grift continues… They should have been voting for the COVID 19 bill instead of talking about how to get more money from their folks.. But the don’t care… lolll

    • Pamela Postel | March 11, 2021 at 11:21 PM | Reply

Now if their version of the COVID bill was accepted they wouldn’t be complaining about what was in it they didn’t want. But now if it had more tax cuts for their wealthy donors and friend’s; they’d be grinning. Well it’s about time they start thinking of the people who voted for them when they went against this legislation. Now many of them will now face their constituents and will have to answer the question as to why they voted against it.

    • If Trump offered his cult, laced Koolaide, they would all ask for refills.

    • Republicans never cared about us, the entire time we need monetary relief their talking about Dr Seuss. I don’t care is Mitch raises all the world I would nerve vote for him or let anyone in my family

    • Jean McGinnis | March 12, 2021 at 8:13 PM | Reply

@E W Agree. I would donate money to someone that could assure me that trump and the republicans are gone and just a long bad dream.

  2. When McConnell admitted that Trump was responsible for the insurrection, after he acquitted Trump for said insurrection, he admitted to giving comfort to an enemy of the Constitution.

    • @AL- BOT for who?

    • @miapdx pretty much everyone. You may not see it yet, but it has. Summer protests/riots and an insurrection should tell you something. The Republican party has never been this disturbed before. The Republican judges didn’t help their president, and neither did the state officials who mattered.
The moment that 9/11 happened everything changed, even if it took a little while for the changes to take effect. After a long pandemic and civil upheaval, the insurrection changed things again.
Now the Republican Congress people are still not working, after years of doing nothing, but the Democrats are working on things that 70% of the people want.
The people are tired and angry, on both sides of the fence.
      Things have changed.

    • For sure .

yes and the rest of the senate that all believed his stealing the election mantra.
I think they all are guilty why is it they are not being prosecuted for they’re part in the capital insurrection?

    • Yes he did and he should be held accountable for his very large part in the inserection

The Senate has absolutely NOTHING to do with it.
The 27th Amendment grants that authority to the House of Representatives after a new House is in office, every 2 years.
Try actually READING the United States Constitution, you obviously haven’t or you would have already known that.

  15. _”If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed, and we will deserve it”_ – Lindsey Graham, 2016

    • @Vincentia Van Gogh, He now uses Trump-style talk, he will say whatever fits the purpose, it works for Trump especially with his power-base, who generally have the concentration power of a gnat. He may say one thing and then he may say the complete opposite moments later, whatever suits him. What he says is always, meaningless and irrelevant, simply not to be trusted or believed, either one of them.

    • ArkadiosTheodulus | March 14, 2021 at 10:11 PM | Reply

@Vincentia Van Gogh I don’t get why they even call it the “Big Lie”. It’s more like the “Stupid Lie”, that only the morons dumb enough to trust a pathological liar believe. Not a single one of these dopes have actual solid evidence of widespread voter fraud, all they can do is regurgitate the Right-wing lies and propaganda they’ve been spoonfed.

    • Vincentia Van Gogh | March 14, 2021 at 10:35 PM | Reply

@ArkadiosTheodulus It’s a reference to the Big Lie (die große LΓΌge), a tactic that the nazis propaganda machine used to brainwash the german people and promote their hateful agenda. They did it with systematic disinformation of the masses, disparaging and threatening the free press. They played on the fear and loss of morale of the german people post-WWI and styled themselves as saviors who would restore Germany’s glory. So pretty much everything Trump and his cronies have been doing for the past few years. :-/

    • I thumbs up on your comment , but Lindsey Graham is no good too.

    • melody Banks | March 12, 2021 at 8:10 AM | Reply

He is rich but it’s not his it’s ours the poor and he doesn’t give a crap about the ones who trust him wake up and and when you have nothing left to give him well he’s done with you and then he has all your money πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° and then you will be in the street and then you will 😒 for our father in heaven but at least God is a loving and forgiving God but if you wait to long to get out of the house your thrown in a lake of πŸ”₯ like Trump does to all of the ones who trust Trump I’m trusting my father in heaven count on that

  17. Citizen Trump is just promoting his snake oil to get all the money from his zombies to pay his debt. πŸ˜‚

  18. Sounds like McConnell is trying to keep his party calm, but they’re freaking out.

    • Trump is essentially saying β€œYou either bow at my feet or I destroy your party.” Loads of Republicans have no problem with that, because he brings in the votes for their β€œsafe” districts, but Republicans like McConnell know that 1) this is not a two-way street. It’s lose-lose for Republicans long-term, because they either give him unwavering fealty and lose their own power in the process, or they go their own route and get voted out.

At the same time, in many many states, Republicans at the state level are passing new laws to prevent Democrats from being able to vote, which would secure their hold on power even while their voters are running for the hills.

So it’s lose-lose for Republicans at the federal level, win-win for Republicans at the state level (at least for as long as they can suppress turnout).

The only way for Republicans to hold on to power in the long-run is to end democracy, which is lose-lose for everyone except Trump.

    • @Jason Boyce Biden is already countering Arizona and Georgia’s attempts to stifle voter rights, thankfully.

    • @sorry. i wish him luck but i don’t think there’s much he can do. the constitution is weak against these kinds of things because it was designed by people who never thought people would elect folks who would work against their vote. i’m not terribly optimistic that we’ll get out of this, but we will definitely know in 10 years or less if we will be a democracy or an apartheid state
