Two people were killed and six others were injured after a gunman opened fire at a St. Louis high school before he was fatally shot by police at the scene Monday, officials said.

An adult woman and a teenage girl were fatally shot at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School, and the shooter was shot by police inside the school, Commissioner Mike Sack said in a news briefing.

"This is a heartbreaking day for all of us," Sack said. "It’s gonna be tough. While on paper we may have nine victims… we have hundreds of others. Everyone who survived is going to take home trauma."

Eight people, including the gunman, were taken to the hospital, Sack said. The adult woman died at the hospital, and the teen girl died at the school. The suspect also died at the hospital, he added.

    1. @Automaton Collectives You wanna get outta here… you talk to me.
MM2 Trivia: The only reason they “killed” the dog is because it rarely listened to its handler.

    2. @ICYUNVME Not the finances? Every kid in school knows exactly how many pairs of clothes you have and where purchased. Its gladiator academy if youre not wearing Air Forces or Jordans.

    3. @Lord Humungus Other people thoughts aren’t important. I’ll rather have low finances with a healthy family, than good finances with an abusive family. (Even though it was bad on both ends for me😭)

Also while we’re on the subject most kids that cared about about superficial things like shoe brands and clothes was struggling the most financially at home💀

  3. Late in life my wife and I had a beautiful daughter. Like every time this happens, when I pick her up at School She CRYING from hearing the NEWS. Today will be no different. My prayers to the FAMILIES.

    1. Yeah, thank God they now have a protocol for response, that’s why you saw the others schools on lockdown. The tragedy wasn’t avoided, but was ”less grave” this time.

  5. 🙏🙏😪😪😪😪💜💜♥️♥️💙 LORD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF US!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭

  6. it should be mandatory for public officials to have their children go to public schools, Then change will happen

  7. These kids all need counseling. They don’t know how to deal with life it’s a cry for help. Address the emotional issues these kids have. Teach deep breathing respect they ruining their lives a destroying others all for what?

  8. Prayers for these families! God bless these innocent children and their family and friends
Much love and many prayers ❤

    1. @Donald John I’ve traded with a lot of individuals but I have never come across anyone as good as Scott Peterson. He’s the best I’d advise any novice investing to go with him.

    2. That man is extremely amazing, my first investment with him made me huge profit and he has been delivering ever since.

    3. @Irvine Bills I stumbled upon one of his clients testimonies and decided to try,I’m on my third payouts.

  9. Please stop ignoring people who need “help”. Pay attention to your surroundings. As well as the people who are in your surroundings!
    Hurt people, hurt people!

  10. I’m pretty stoked about not having children. What an awful time to bring a child into this world. Meanwhile, absolutely nothing has been done to prevent this from happening. Come next month, politicians will have already forgotten about this until reelection time. Shame.

  11. MEDIA: I totally AGREE that back in the 1960’s the very first, “live coverage of a robbery at a local drug store, came across the television and reported it live. I remember the shock and disbelief everyone had at that time. It has NOW been NORMALIZED. Following that came “crossing-the-lines” between “real and acting” seeing movies with real judges, professionals doing a role, NOT an actor. BLURRING THE LINES. The worse thing in school 1940’s-1950’s was ink wells, rubber bands, spit balls, considyvery bad behavior. Rarely, did you ever hear of any of these HORRIFIC acts, so, FRIGHTENING to these CHILDREN that face going to school under such HEINOUS conditions. How can they EVER be the same enduring “TRAUMATIC INVALIDATION” and C.P.T.S.D. affecting ATTENTIVENESS, ENTHUSIASM, and DECISION MAKING. The parents, family, friends, LIVES FOREVER CHANGED!

  12. We keep letting the politics and media separate and turn us on each other this stuff will never end but once we finally stand up and say enough is enough and come together and unite as human beings and a country then we will make positive change.

  13. school shootings happen SO often, news of one doesn’t affect me the way it used to, I’ve become desensitized! 😢

  14. as a student of slps this makes me terribly sad. we had to lock up today. no one should have to expirence gun violence. 😞❤️

  15. Prayers for all involved!!! This will keep happening but we need to beef up security at every school. On another note, while our government squandered billions for themselves and sent it to other nations. There’s still no visible help for Americans. No security for our children (because they buy, sell, and trade them like cattle-and much worse). In most cases there’s no security for teachers and staff. If any money is sent to the schools the school board, superintendents, etc. divide that amongst themselves. Then teachers may get a slight increase. By the time that’s all done and the little left for actual school upkeep, maintenance, etc. it’s all gone. But the government can’t help. Keep voting for Democrats people. Yes I went there because that’s what it takes. Change! Nothing will change if we keep these monsters. These extreme left nut jobs elected to ruin our country. You want them to take guns away from everyone? Look at history and where that led those people who willingly gave up their weapons. IT DIDN’T END WELL… Criminals DO NOT CARE about Gun Laws. When will you understand this concept? Take every law abiding citizens weapon away, criminals still have theirs, making YOU & the rest of society a very easy target. And for the love of God, stop calling AR-15’s Assault Rifles (assault weapons) and Weapons of War. The term Assault Weapons was eagerly taken up by the Democrats in Congress in anticipation of the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 that was enacted into law and remained in effect until it lapsed in 2004. It was shown that the ban did not have any effect on crime or in preventing mass shooting incidents. God Bless & Stay Safe ❤️🇺🇸👊🏼
