Just let’s vote Trump out in 2020 and let him feel the power of each individual voter saying “NO MORE OF YOUR INSANITY” at the top of our lungs.

Actually, no they didn’t. Reagan said 37 times; “I have no recollection” and GHW Bush, who had been DCI (Director Central Intelligence) prior to the WH said “I was out of the loop”.The crap role was handed publicly to Col. Oliver North, leaving him in the wind for “buying, transporting and providing military weapons to parties sanctioned by Congressional vote”. Oliver North was “disgraced” for pedaling weapons acquired with government money and providing them to forces held to be hostile to American interests. That “punishment was meted out at Col. North’s separation interview, held with the Commandant of the USMC at the time; Col. North arrived for that meeting in his Marine Green Class A uniform, with all of his citations, participation bars and medals- he has several, having been an excellent combat officer- after approximately two hours he came out of that meeting with all paraphernalia intact, shortly afterward it was announced Col North was retired at full rank and with full benefits. In other words the Cops gave Ollie a “bye” for following his commander’s (Ronald Reagan) orders and falling on his sword. There is no other way to explain how an officer in the US Military could be involved up to his neck in foreign gun running and not get life in prison. Go look at how they deal with single weapon thefts.
This was not the beginning; Lyndon Banes Johnson’s WH invented the spy ship story to justify going in hard to Viet Nam. The start is more likely the bizarre assassination of JFK. After that the wheels slowly start coming off. Yes there were some good further civil rights bills, but look at where we are now- it is a progression from that killing in Dallas. It’s not any individual. it is not really a huge conspiracy; it’s 535 greedy political office holders playing the power game- it was highly visible when Jack Abramoff, lobbyist, close associate of Bush and Cheney, was convicted for defrauding Indian Councils seeking gaming licenses that he never did any work toward and bragged about- Abramoff had made himself too visible- he had to go. Go dig up some of the pieces he wrote after prison and some talks he gave. But nobody believed him- he was a convicted felon. Well, friends and neighbors, this one presidency, in three years has seen more of it’s aides and appointments convicted of campaign finance violations, fraud, money laundering- more newly convicted fraudsters and felons than any president in history after four years in office. So Iran’Contra was prosecuted and the wrong people were blamed, but the system managed a “soft landing’ for their agent; Oliver North ran for and won seat as Senator from Virginia just a few years later; did Virginia know (or care) that they were voting for an international gun runner to the Senate? And still none of the real perpetrators have been caught and prosecuted- and We the People have known it all along- so the entire electorate is also guilty of willful disregard- that is all of us. We Must Do Something to Resurrect the Average Exceptional American, and the belief each of us may become one.
How deep does it go? From 1972 onward the US Army Military Police assigned to Viet Nam investigated and found there were members of the US Graves Registration Office (they are responsible for getting the services for combat deaths; imbalment, shipping, receipt and honor guard details; they were shipping 2-4 kilos of heroin from VN to America via the corpses of our dead. Six sergents were named, prosecuted and convicted; all of them were in VN ; no one on the receiving end was ever investigated. Go look and see- it’s all from the We’re getting out of VN” era military news. it hadn’t helped that our services were more draftees, many of whom were swept off of courthouse holding cells and given the option to join or several years in state pen- it tool till well into the ’80s to flush all the minor thieves and liars out of the service- ask retired recruiters from the era.
