    1. So thunder can shake your house easily, but a missile impact, “Nah!” – LOL! I’ve had a military jet go over my neighbourhood and the whole house has shaken. It’s entirely plausible.

    2. You thought wrong, a missile blew up a balloon the size of three school buses. It’s would be similar to a thunderclap.

  1. It would make more sense if they used the balloon to track wind currents. I just hope they didn’t release anything.

    1. Well, the issue is that the payload was the size of three large buses. Why would anything be that large to track wind currents…

    2. @Jean Paul Sigh, explain why the payload was three buses in size. Of course balloons are an old technology but it isn’t as if weather balloons have three busloads of payload.

  2. should have just gotten the balloon instead of popping it for we don’t know what it contained, could have had particles or other substances which have been dispersed in the air of where it had been popped.

    1. at 60k ft it couldn’t possibly contain enough to do much even if released. The balloon was only as large as it was because of the pressure at that height. At ground level it would have been much much smaller

  3. Yay….another manufactured crisis….so many of those these days….but it’s all just coincidence😉

  4. To respond further? You were caught spying, it’s like a guy catching another guy up in a tree looking into his bedroom while the guys wife is undressing than buddy in the tree getting mad

    1. Well the USA has been using unmanned drones to “survey” the sea floor very close to the Chinese’s south coast for years so the game is being played by both parties probably what they mean with their response.

    2. @Primmakin Sofis It’s less obtrusive, remember it only came to light when a civilian pointed it out by photographing it. 😉

    3. (1:37) Why didn’t Mr. Disinfection call for warp speed development to get those balloons out of the sky unscathed with a simple “sandbag attachment device”?
      Too expensive?

  5. “All of a sudden the whole house just shook, that it was like.. a loud boom”

    Great report.

To think, she spent 2 hours doing her makeup for that. lol

    2. Shes not talking about the balloon shes talking about Boomhauer from king of the hill, she got the size boom.

  6. A few bursts to poke a few holes in the balloon and they could have had a mostly intact device… Instead, launch a sidewinder and spend a week picking up the pieces… Genius…

    1. That had already been tried, they used 1000 rounds previous to the air to air missile. The balloon flies higher than the maximum operational ceiling of the plane, genius smh

  8. This just in, this incident is no longer considered to be a spy ballon. It was Lizzo on her way to the Grammys.
